Tripura&nbsp;has become the first state in the northeast to report a Delta plus case after at least 138 of the 151&nbsp;Covid-19&nbsp;samples sent by the state govt for genome sequencing tested positive for the variant, according to State Health Surveillance Officer Dr Deep Kumar Debbarma.&nbsp;
A total weekend curfew in 13 urban local bodies, in addition to the ongoing partial day and night curfew has been announced by the Tripura&nbsp;govt&nbsp;to curb the spread of the disease. The new Covid restrictions will come into force from 12 pm on Saturday and will remain till 6 am on Monday. The ongoing partial day and night curfew has been extended till July 17.
Tripura has so far recorded 69,550 Covid-19 cases with an overall positivity rate of 5.15% and its current daily positivity rate is 6.62%.&nbsp;
