Reacting to the development, former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that it was the second such instance within a week and asked how these bomb threats would affect the children.
A Delhi Fire Services official said, "We received calls (regarding the threat emails) from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar (4:21 am), Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri (6:23 am) and DPS Amar Colony in East of Kailash (6:35 am)."
"(Calls were also received) from the South Delhi Public School in Defence Colony (7:57 am), Delhi Police Public School in Safdarjung (8:02 am) and Venkateshwar Global School in Rohini (8:30 am)," he added.
The fire department, police and bomb detection teams, along with dog squads, have reached the schools and are conducting checks, the official said.
The schools' authorities sent messages to guardians to not send their wards for classes or take them back if they already reached.
A police source said the emails were received at 12:54 am, with the sender mentioning "parent-teachers' meeting" and "sports day" activities in the schools.
The sender also mentioned that the "schools will face bomb blasts" on Friday and Saturday, the source said.
A police official said checks were underway.
Cambridge School principal Madhavi Goswami said she was checking the school mail, as routine, when she saw the threat.
"I informed the police and they worked proactively. We were assured by the Delhi Police about the investigation. We informed the parents that classes would be online today," she said.
Karmveer, a guard at South Delhi Public School, said he received a message at 7:20 am, following which they started to ask the parents coming to school with their children to return.
"The school administration declared that all the students should be asked to return. Only a few children were already inside the campus and they were also sent back," he told PTI Videos.
AAP supremo Kejriwal, who had on December 9 hit out at the Delhi Police and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over that day's bomb threats, shared a news clip about the latest threats on his official X handle.
"This is the second time this week that Delhi schools have received bomb threats, which is extremely serious and worrying. If this continues, how badly will it affect the children? What will happen to their studies?" he asked in Hindi in the caption of the post.

The threatening mail, which claimed to have Quranic verses, alleged that many explosive devices in the school had been placed.&nbsp;
According to Delhi Police, bomb threats targeting several Delhi schools were transmitted via email. The originating IP addresses suggest they were generated from outside India, raising suspicions that VPNs may have been used to mask the true locations. &nbsp;Some media reports claimed that the mail originated from Russia.&nbsp;
After the schools received the threatening mail, police were informed, following which a bomb detection unit, and team from the Delhi Fire Service were mobilised to the schools.
A search operation was conducted, but the search teams didn't find anything suspicious yet.
The threat emails also triggered a wave of panic among the parents, who had rushed to school after they were informed by the school authorities to pick up their kids.
The Delhi Police, meanwhile, asked the parents to remain calm, saying that they didn't find any objectionable item was found.
The Ministry of Home Affairs claimed that it was nothing more than a hoax call and said that Delhi Police and security agencies are taking necessary steps as per protocol.
Delhi minister Atishi said that the Delhi government is in touch with the police and the schools. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena said that he sought a detailed report on the bomb threats and that he directed Delhi Police to identify the culprits and ensure there are no lapses.

The Safdarjung observatory, the city's primary weather station, recorded 153 mm rain in the 24-hour period ending at 8:30 am on Sunday, the highest since the 24-hour rainfall of 169.9 mm on July 25, 1982, a senior IMD official said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that primary schools will be closed from Saturday in view of spike in pollution levels in the national capital.
Speaking at a press conference, he noted that deteriorating air quality and pollution levels were a problem of the entire north India and the Centre should take steps to address it.
"This is not the time for blame game and politics, but time to find a solution to the problem. Blaming Kejriwal or the Punjab government won't help," he asserted.
The city continued to reel under the eye-stinging pollution with air quality recorded in the ''severe'' category even on Friday.
Kejriwal announced that from Saturday onwards, classes up to fifth standard will be closed and outdoor activities for classes above fifth standard will be suspended.
"We are also mulling over implementing odd even scheme for plying of vehicles," he said.
The chief minister was joined by his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann.
Kejriwal accepted that the stubble burning happening in Punjab was his party's responsibility since its government is there.
"Since our government is in Punjab, we are responsible for the stubble burning. It has been only six months since we formed the government there and there were issues that were being addressed. We are finding solutions. Give us a year's time to address the issue," Kejriwal said.
Mann concurred with him and said there was bumper paddy crop, which resulted in a huge amount of stubble.
"We are taking steps like there are 1.20 lakh machines to bury stubble. Panchayats have also passed resolutions to stop stubble burning. We promise by November next year, stubble burning will reduce," he stressed.

Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday questioned the "stony silence" of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for not congratulating students for excelling in the national achievement survey conducted by the Centre.             According to a report of the NAS-2021, Punjab has emerged as the top performer among states.
It has got first rank in all subjects of Classes 3, 5, 8 and first position in mathematics subject of Class 10.
The NAS was conducted on November 12, 2021 by the Centre. The NAS is a national-level assessment survey which is conducted to obtain information about learning achievement of students.              
Warring on Friday slammed CM Mann for not congratulating the students and teachers of Punjab on getting top rank in the NAS.
"I am surprised over the stony silence of our Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann as it is a matter of pride and glory for all the Punjabis," Warring said in a statement.  
"Or the government has turned stone deaf and cannot hear and bear anything other than the Delhi Model, which fell way behind the Punjab model," said Warring.            
The Punjab Congress chief said the "silence" of the chief minister and his party is obvious as they cannot afford to acknowledge the achievements of the Congress government.
"They must be shocked as to how they can sell a model that they claim is so successful when it fell way behind the Punjab model that they seek to improve," he said while taking a swipe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's oft-repeated claims about Delhi model of education.             Warring urged the chief minister that as a proud Punjabi, he should not have any hesitations in glorifying the Punjab model wherever he goes, whether to Gujarat or Himachal Pradesh.
"Instead of parroting Kejriwal's failed Delhi model, as was revealed in the recent NAS, you should proudly propagate the successful Punjab Model," Warring advised Mann.             "We do not want or expect you to acknowledge the achievement of the Congress government in improving the education system in the state, but at least have the moral courage to acknowledge the achievements of your own Punjabi teachers and students who have outshone everyone in the country, including those who study in Delhi," Warring told Mann.

"We feel that nothing is happening and pollution keeps increasing... only time being wasted," Chief Justice NV Ramana snapped at the Delhi government.
Slamming Delhi govt's decision to reopen schools, the top court said that "three-year-olds and four-year-olds are going to schools but adults are working from home".
The court sought clarity from the Kejriwal govt on what it is doing on schools and offices.
The court also came down hard on the Delhi government over its 'Red Light On, Gaadi Off' campaign to curb vehicular pollution, saying it was nothing but a popular slogan.
"Poor young boys standing in the middle of the road with banners, who is taking care of their health?" an angry court asked.
In response, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing the Delhi govt, said the "boys" were civil volunteers.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had initiated the 'Red Light On, Gaadi Off' campaign from October 21 to November 15, saying that even if 10 lakh vehicles in the city joined the campaign, the PM10 levels would fall by 1.5 tonnes and PM2.5 by 0.4 tonnes in a year.
Under the initiative, government officials from the transport department, volunteers and traffic police urge commuters to switch off their vehicles while waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

After more than 18 months, all schools in Delhi will be permitted to re-open for all classes&mdash; including at the primary level&mdash; from November 1.&nbsp;Primary and middle school grades&mdash;up to class VIII&mdash;have not been opened for even a single day since schools in Delhi shut as a precaution against&nbsp;Covid-19&nbsp;on March 12, 2020. After more than 18 months, all schools in Delhi will be permitted to re-open for all classes&mdash; including at the primary level&mdash; from November 1.&nbsp; Primary and middle school grades&mdash;up to class VIII&mdash;have not been opened for even a single day since schools in Delhi shut as a precaution against&nbsp;Covid-19&nbsp;on March 12, 2020. Schools had opened shortly for classes IX to XII, starting January this year, before closing completely on April 9 because of the second wave of the pandemic.&nbsp; They opened again for classes IX to XII on September 1, but there had been no approval for schools to open for younger children.&nbsp; At Wednesday&rsquo;s DDMA meeting, it was decided that all schools&mdash;government and private&mdash;may be permitted to open for all grades on November 1.&nbsp;

Where only 8% of rural students get to attend the online classes, 24% of urban school goers have regular attendance in online classes.
One of the biggest reasons is the&nbsp;accessibility to&nbsp;smartphones.&nbsp;Even if they have smartphones,&nbsp;only 15% of rural students have access to online study material at the same time the percent for kids from town and cities is much higher at 31%.

Following a marked improvement in the Covid situation in the national capital, the Delhi government had on Friday announced that schools for classes 9 to 12, colleges and coaching institutions would reopen from September 1.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has issued detailed guidelines to schools. These include:

Mandatory thermal screening, staggered lunch breaks, alternate seating arrangement in classrooms and avoiding routine guest visits. These are among the guidelines announced by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority for reopening of schools and colleges.
Students, teachers and other employees living in Covid containment zones will not be allowed to come to<a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/no-student-will-be-forced-delhi-schools-for-classes-9-12-to-reopen-from-sept-1-1630071412198" target="_blank"> schools and colleges</a>.

The Delhi government had clarified that no student would be forced to attend physical classes and the consent of parents would be mandatory.
According to the <a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/delhi-set-to-reopen-schools-for-classes-9-to-12-here-are-the-guidelines-1630313516743" target="_blank">DDMA guidelines</a>, maximum 50 per cent of students per classroom may be called depending upon capacity and the timetable should be prepared as per occupancy limit of classrooms.
The educational institutions must follow the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) norms as specified by the government, the DDMA said.
The agency has also directed schools to stagger lunch breaks to avoid crowding. These breaks should be held in open areas, according to the guidelines.
The schools and colleges have been asked to set up quarantine room for emergency use and discourage the routine guest visits. The DDMA has also directed the schools to not allow students and teachers living in Covid containment zones to come to educational institutions.
All government schools have reopened for classes 9 to 12. All private schools have also been allowed to resume classes for 9 to 12 standards. Coaching centres can also start classes for students of 9 to 12 standards. No decision has been taken on reopening junior classes yet.

"We deployed our bomb squads and also informed the Special Cell and the Special Branch. The SWAT team is also conducting searches inside the premises," he said.

Hours after an e-mail with a bomb threat was sent to a Delhi school, triggering panic and e the police say, it appears to be a hoax after a thorough search.&nbsp;
Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Chandan Chowdhary said, "The school received the e-mail regarding the bomb threat at 10.49 am on Wednesday. They then informed the Defence Colony police station following which the security personnel reached the spot and immediately evacuated the school.
"We deployed our bomb squads and also informed the Special Cell and the Special Branch. The SWAT team is also conducting searches inside the premises," he said.
Chowdhary further said that the police force has so far conducted two rounds of search and that the third round is underway.
"We are looking for the source of the e-mail. In November last year, the school received a similar mail which was sent via a German server," he said.
The DCP, however, said the e-mail threat appears to be a hoax.
Notably, a similar e-mail was sent to the same school back in November 2022.&nbsp;
