The Central Bureau of Investigation on April 11 took custody of BRS leader K Kavitha, who was arrested for allegedly paying Rs 100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party leaders in return for liquor licences in Delhi.
She is currently lodged at Tihar Jail under the custody of the Enforcement Directorate.

The action came a day after the CBI informed a Delhi court that it questioned Kavitha in the corruption case related to the alleged Delhi excise scam.
Kavitha, an MLC and daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has been accused of being a key member of the "South Group", which allegedly paid the ruling AAP in Delhi kickbacks of Rs 100 crore in return for a big share of liquor licences in the national capital.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh's wife Anita Singh welcomed Supreme Court's order granting his husband bail on Tuesday. 
However, she said there will be no celebrations yet as AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are still in jail.
"This struggle is long and it will continue. Till our three brothers (Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain) are out, we are not celebrating. We thank the court," said Anita Singh.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to the party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in a money-laundering case linked to the excise policy case.
The Delhi minister shared the news of Singh's bail in a post on X and wrote: "Satyameva Jayate".
In a presser, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said it is a big day for democracy. While granting the bail, the top court said Singh is entitled to continue political activities.
The bail was granted after the Enforcement Directorate did not oppose it.

The 49-year-old AAP MLA is the minister for transport, home and law in the Delhi government.

Delhi minister and AAP leader Kailash Gahlot appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday for questioning in connection with a money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped excise policy for the capital, officials said.
Gahlot (49), an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Najafgarh, is the minister for transport, home and law in the Delhi government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been arrested in the case by the federal agency.
The minister was seen entering the ED office in central Delhi around 11:30 am.
Sources said Gahlot has been asked to appear for questioning in the case and getting his statement recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
He is expected to be questioned with regard to the formulation of the policy as he was part of the Group of Ministers (GoM), along with former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and former urban development minister Satyendar Jain, on the preparation and implementation of the new liquor scheme for 2021-22.
The ED has alleged that the excise policy was leaked to the "South Group" liquor lobby that included Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha.
This group is alleged to have given Rs 100-crore kickbacks to the AAP and its leaders, according to the agency.
The ED has also alleged in its chargesheet that Gahlot handled a single SIM number but his IMEI (international mobile equipment identity) was changed thrice.
The agency has mentioned Gahlot's name in its chargesheet and in the context of Vijay Nair, the AAP communications in-charge arrested earlier in the case, saying Nair lived in the government bungalow allotted to Gahlot, who "ironically" lives in Najafgarh in southwest Delhi.
Describing this practice of allowing the use of a government residence to someone else by a public servant as a "criminal breach of trust", the ED had said it had asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take action in the matter.
The excise case pertains to alleged corruption and money laundering in formulating and executing the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22, which was later scrapped.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena recommended a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the liquor policy. Subsequently, the ED registered a case under the PMLA.
AAP leaders Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were arrested by the ED in the case earlier and they are in judicial custody. The AAP and its leaders have repeatedly denied the charges of wrongdoing, with Kejriwal alleging that the case was built by the BJP-led Centre to create a "smokescreen" that the AAP is a corrupt party.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue court&nbsp;on Tuesday sent BRS leader K Kavitha to 14-day judicial custody in the Delhi excise policy case.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja passed the order after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) did not seek an extension of her custodial interrogation.
The BRS leader was sent to seven-day ED custody on March 16 and it was extended by three days last Saturday.
During the proceedings, Kavitha's advocate Nitesh Rana sought interim bail on the grounds of her minor son's exam.
The counsel for the ED countered the bail, saying even if interim bail is to be considered, then opportunity must be given for filing a reply.
The ED underlined that for both interim and regular bail there were stringent provisions under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The agency has alleged that Kavitha, the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, was a key member of the 'South Group' that has been accused of paying the AAP kickbacks of Rs 100 crore in return for a big share of liquor licences in the national capital.
The 46-year-old was arrested by the central probe agency on March 15 Kavitha's counsel also sought permission for physically inspecting the documents submitted by the agency in a sealed cover under provisions 19 (2) of the PMLA.

A court in Delhi extended the ED custody of BRS leader K Kavitha, an accused in the Delhi excise policy case, till March 26.

A court here on Saturday extended the Enforcement Directorate custody of BRS leader K Kavitha, an accused in the Delhi excise policy money laundering case, till March 26.
The ED has alleged that Kavitha, the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, was a key member of the 'South Group' that has been accused of paying the AAP kickbacks of Rs 100 crore in return for a big share of liquor licences in the national capital.
"In view of the fact that further custodial interrogation of the accused (Kavitha) has been sought for further sustained and detailed interrogation the ED custody of the accused is extended till March 26," Special Judge Kaveri Baweja said.
The judge directed the Investigating Officer (IO) "to ensure that further interrogation and confrontation of accused is done without any delay". The court also allowed Kavitha's application to meet her family members, including her husband, son, brother, sister and sister-in-law, and her personal assistant (PA) in the court.
It noted that Kavitha had also filed another application seeking directions to the ED to allow her home-cooked food to enable her to have the medically prescribed diet.
In her plea, Kavitha said that she was suffering from some medical ailments, such as heartburn and the doctor had advised her to conform to the specified diet.
"It is noted that in the order dated March 16 permission for providing a medically prescribed diet has already been issued. However, considering the request made on behalf of the accused today, she is permitted to be provided with home-cooked food, as requested," the court said.
In its plea seeking an extension of her custodial remand by five days, the federal probe agency said Kavitha was interrogated, confronted with statements of four people and questioned based on the findings during investigation.
It said Kavitha was also confronted with a forensic report showing formatting of her mobile phone data during the probe. Her cell phone data was being analysed, it said.
"During the search conducted at the premises of the arrestee (Kavitha) on March 15, a mobile device belonging to Meka Saran (her nephew) has been seized. He was called two times to appear before the investigation. However, he has failed to appear before the investigation," the plea said.
It said the investigation in the last week revealed that Saran was involved in the transfer or utilisation of the proceeds of crime.
"Since he is in possession of information relevant for investigation in the case and he is not cooperating with the investigation, Search is being conducted at his premises (in Hyderabad on Saturday)," the plea said.
It said Saran is a "close relative" of the Kavitha and that he was present in her house when ED conducted the raid.
"Some of the family business details, financials of the family business etc. were sought and she (Kavitha) said that she would inform her counsel/family member and the same information will be shared by them through mail," the plea said. But not a single detail was furnished to the ED, it said.
"An application is also moved before this court for further interrogation of Sameer Mahendru, for getting the details of the said transfer/utilization of proceeds of crime (POC) by Meka Saran, and to ascertain the role of the arrestee," the remand application said.
It said Kavitha has to be interrogated on the recent findings.
During the proceedings, Kavitha's advocate Nitish Rana filed a bail plea following which the ED counsel said the Investigating Officer (IO) is "neck deep" in the case and the order on bail could be passed on the next date of hearing.
"Five days is enough for filing a reply to the bail. I am not pressing it," the advocate said.
Kavitha, 46, a Telangana Legislative Council member, was arrested by the central probe agency from her residence at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on March 15.
