Dhanteras&nbsp;2021:&nbsp;Traditionally known as&nbsp;Dhantrayodashi, Dhanteras&nbsp;is celebrated two to three days before Diwali.&nbsp;The word is derived from the two words, 'Dhan' which means wealth and 'Teras' which means thirteen.
Dhanteras&nbsp;falls on the thirteenth day of Krishna Paksha&nbsp;of Kartik&nbsp;month. This year it will be celebrated on 2nd November.
On this day people worship goddess Lakshmi&nbsp;along with Lord Dhanvantari and Dhan Kuber.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is believed that the day can help yield wealth and prosperity. People mark the celebrations by buying something&nbsp;new, mainly utensils or jewellery. People also light diyas at the entrance of their homes in an attempt to ward off any evil.&nbsp;
