Addressing a public meeting at Dak Bungalow in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, Azad said, "There are some people across the border who have not been able to set their own country right after the partition, but have taken the pledge of destroying our country and Jammu and Kashmir.

Responding to the reports of a threat to his life issued by The Resistance Front (TRF) -- an offshoot of proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) -- Azad said he is not scared of anyone.
"I am Ghulam-e-Nabi (the slave of the Prophet) and not anyone else's slave. My name is <a href="https://www.editorji.com/india-news/politics/they-can-t-give-you-back-art-370-ghulam-nabi-azad-slams-opposition-for-misleading-j-k-people-1662948828205">Ghulam Nabi Azad</a> and my thinking is Azad (independent) as well," the former leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha asserted.
He said he does not fear anyone and god has protected him from attacks earlier as well.
"I have been attacked 50 times in Punjab and Kashmir till now. God has saved me and he will save me. But if god takes my life, he will take it along with the life that I have lived on principles and not lies or deceit," Azad said.

A month after Bollywood star Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received death threats in a letter, the actor on Friday met Mumbai Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansalkar at his office in South Mumbai and reportedly sought a weapon license.

After the letter, Khan's security was enhanced after an FIR was filed at Bandra police station against an unknown person in the case. Further probe into the incident is underway.&nbsp;

Around the same time, it was reported that Salman was on the radar of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who recently confessed to the police that he had sent death threats to the actor through an aide in connection with the blackbuck posching case. Bishnoi also told the polcie during interrogation that he and his community, which regards blackbuck sacred, would 'never forgive' Salman Khan.

Last week, Salman's lawyer Hasti Mal Saraswat, who is representing him &nbsp;in the blackbuck poaching case in Jodhpur, had claimed that he had received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in a letter addressed to him.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently in the custody of Punjab Police in connection with two murder cases, said his community will never forgive Bollywood actor Salman Khan for killing a blackbuck, regarded sacred by the Bishnoi community, unless he apologises in public, the Delhi Police Special cell said on Sunday.
Bishnoi made these revelations while he was being interrogated in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
Last week, Salman's lawyer Hastimal Saraswat, who is representing him &nbsp;in the blackbuck poaching case in Jodhpur, had claimed that he had received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in a letter addressed to him.
It said the lawyer will meet Sidhu Moosewala&rsquo;s fate, adding that an &ldquo;enemy&rsquo;s friend is their first enemy&rdquo;.
The authencity of the threat letter is yet to be ascertained by the police.
HGS Dhaliwal, special commissioner (special cell), said that during interrogation, Lawrence candidly admitted that Salman Khan's acquittal or punishment from the court will not be the last verdict for him given that Bishnois consider the blackbuck the reincarnation of their spiritual leader, Bhagwan Jambeshwar, also known as Jambaji. &nbsp;&ldquo;The actor and his father either tender public apology in Jambaji temple or the Bishnois will kill them.&rdquo;
In June, a few days after the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Salman Khan received a threat letter which read that the actor and his father Salim Khan will suffer the same fate as Moose Wala.

'Rang De Basanti' actor Siddharth took to Twitter and revealed that his phone number has been leaked by political trolls.
The actor said that he had received more than 500 calls of abuse, rape and death threats not only to him but also his family for over 24 hours.
He further stated that all the numbers are recorded and that he will be soon handing them to the police to take serious action.
