Days after a fake cricket league surfaced in Gujarat, UP police busted another fake league which was held at a cricket ground in Meerut. 
The Meerut's fake cricket league went by the name 'Big Boss T20 Punjab League' and the matches have been going on for the past four to five months. 
With the mastermind of this fake cricket league controlling all the operations from Moscow, the organisers have been luring the punters to bet on the matches through a mobile application 'Cric Heros'.
UP police arrested two accused related to the caper, identified as Shitab Alia Shabbu and Rishabh.
Bite 1: Deepak Bhuker, SP, Hapur
While talking to news agency ANI, Hapur's SP Deepak Bhuker said: 'Ashok Chaudhary the mastermind used to pay Rishabh Rs 40,000- Rs 50,000 per match. Players were also paid for the matches.'
'After analysing WhatsApp calls and messages of the arrested suspects it was found that the phone numbers were from Russia and one number was of the Pakistan series," the police official added.

The fake cricket league in Meerut was called the 'Big Boss T20 Punjab League', a scam that had been going on for 4-5 months before the cops nabbed the culprits.
With the mastermind of this fake cricket league controlling all the operations from Moscow, the organisers have been luring the punters to bet on the matches through the mobile app 'CricHeroes'.
UP police arrested two accused related to the caper, identified as Shitab Alia Shabbu and another man named Rishabh.

West Indies batter Chris Gayle is trying to maximise whatever game time he has left in cricket. In order to achieve that, the 42-year-old has decided to opt out of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022 and will concentrate solely on playing the latest T10 tournament, the '6IXTY'.&nbsp;
The Caribbean star is the ambassador for the 6IXTY and the trophy of the event has also been named after him &mdash; the Universe Boss Trophy.

Paytm is back on Play Store, hours after Google removed app

Paytm on Friday evening in a tweet said it's back on Google Play Store, hours after it was pulled down for allegedly violating gambling policies. Earlier on Friday, in a blog post the company said its recently launched &lsquo;Paytm Cricket League&rsquo; was found in violation of the Play Store policies on gambling. The fintech major said &lsquo;Paytm Cricket League&rsquo; allows users to engage in their passion of cricket and get cashback. The game allows users to get player stickers after each transaction, collect them and receive Paytm Cashback. Google, in its own blog post on Friday, said it does not allow apps facilitating sports betting and hence removed the app from Play store. Google had said, these policies are in place to protect users from potential harm, especially since there is often a surge in launches of such apps before major sporting tournaments like the IPL.
