Fintech firm CRED gets in-principle nod for payment aggregation businesses

<h2>CRED primarily runs a credit card bill payment platform for creditworthy customers, however once the Payment Aggregator licence is received, the Bengaluru based startup can expand to merchant payments business too</h2>

Fintech firm CRED has received an in-principle nod from the Reserve Bank of India for the payment aggregation (PA) business. As per NDTV Profit, CRED is mandated to submit an audit report within 6 months after which the decision on final approval will be made.
<h3>Payment aggregation business</h3>
After the final approval, the Peak-XV backed Bengaluru based startup can expand to merchant payments business too, thus joining the ranks of Razorpay and Cashfree. At present, CRED primarily runs a credit card bill payment platform for creditworthy customers.
As per The Economic Times, CCAvenue, Innoviti Payments and MSwipe are also among the payment companies which received their final PA licence recently.
<h3>PA Licence</h3>
At present the firm operates Cred Pay in partnership with other payment companies through which it offers a check out option to its users on popular ecommerce platforms. With the final PA licence, CRED will be able to settle and transfer funds by itself. The licence will also allow CRED to offer merchant payments to any online seller.
Payment Aggregators can manage funds through an escrow account and offer value-added services on top of payments.&nbsp;
On Tuesday, The Reserve Bank of India issued draft rules to regulate payment aggregators who handle physical point of sale services. These regulations include minimum net worth requirements, amendments to certain existing directions as well as a timeline for compliance. The central bank has also invited public comments and feedback on the proposed regulations by May 31.

How a 21-year-old Mumbai&nbsp;man landed his dream internship at CRED&nbsp;with the help of his&nbsp;3D application video&nbsp;is what success stories are made&nbsp;of.
The job application with a difference has gone viral online and&nbsp;has also earned him a great opportunity to work in his dream company.&nbsp; Mumbai-based,&nbsp;21-year-old 3D graphic/motion designer&nbsp;Avkash Shah posted his application on LinkedIn&nbsp;expressing his wish to work at CRED. While sharing his 3D application, Avkash&nbsp;tagged CRED's founder, Kunal Shah, and the&nbsp;Head of Design, Harish Sivaramakrishnan
In the video, he creatively recreates the company's logo.

If you visit Ikpreet&nbsp;Singh's&nbsp;Instagram,&nbsp;you will know he is a die-hard sports fanatic who not only loves sports but also brings his favorite sports moments to life.&nbsp;Ikpreet&nbsp;started off painting at a very young age, however, he&nbsp;figured out in his late twenties that he thoroughly enjoyed&nbsp;painting the defining sports moments. While he started painting these pictures randomly he soon realised that it was his calling. 'I enjoyed painting&nbsp;those&nbsp;sports moments that stayed with me, that I believed in, and those that inspired me', says Ikpreet.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;His most recent painting of 'Indiranagar ka Gunda' aka&nbsp;Rahul&nbsp;Dravid&nbsp;is one of his favorite works. Explaining how he ended up painting it, Ikpreet&nbsp;said, 'I wanted to showcase that particular moment, this moment was so powerful that I was continuously thought about it.' Ikpreet&nbsp;not only brought that moment down on canvas but he also got the chance to gift it to 'The Wall' himself.&nbsp;Calling it an overwhelming feeling, Ikpreet&nbsp;revealed what he told Rahul&nbsp;Dravid. 'It was your first innings, and it was a typical Dravid&nbsp;shot, and I made the painting&nbsp;keeping that in mind', he said.He however feels that he does not consider it as best of his works, but the whole narrative behind the making of&nbsp;Rahul&nbsp;Dravid's picture is one of the best stories.&nbsp;How much ever&nbsp;people around him praise him for the Dravid&nbsp;picture, his abstract painting of Usain&nbsp;Bolt and Viv&nbsp;Richards remains his favorite.&nbsp;Ikpreet&nbsp;says, he is now patiently waiting for a blast moment in the ongoing IPL&nbsp;that he would like to bring to life on his canvas!
