In the ongoing polls, an AI-generated video of West Bengal's ex-CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has come to light. In the video, the AI-avatar slammed PM Modi and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee.&nbsp;

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has released a video of West Bengal's former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee amid the ongoing poll season. But, there's a twist as the video is AI-generated and the ailing Bhattacharjee is urging voters to vote for the Left and secular forces in the Lok Sabha polls 2024.
In the video, the AI avatar spoke on several issues including Sandeshkhali, unemployment, and allegations of corruption in West Bengal. Not just this, the Left stalwart's AI-generated video has been used to also lead an attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress and incumbent chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
The attack is just not limited to Mamata, as the video also targets the BJP-ruled Centre over demonetisation, inflation and electoral bonds.
The AI avatar of Bhattacharya noted, "Demonetisation, the corporates are satisfied. Now, corruptions like electoral bonds&hellip; The prices of daily necessities are increasing. The economy is in a shambles. The BJP and RSS are spreading communal hatred every day. Remember the growth of the BJP in Bengal during the Trinamool period. Who is Narendra Modi? Who is this Mamata Banerjee? Don&rsquo;t give them a chance to destroy our country, our state. Let the candidates of Left, democratic and secular forces win this election. The fight is ahead. This fight must be fought. This fight must be won."
A CPM leader also said that the message in the video was recorded with the consent of the former CM. Bhattacharjee has not made a public appearance since a rally on February 3, 2019.

Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid has been named in the latest chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police in February riots case for giving 'provocative speeches'. The police have however not mentioned the exact nature of the alleged provocative speeches, reports said.
The 17,000-page chargesheet, filed on September 17, contains a statement from a witness who said &lsquo;Umar Khalid, Salman Khurshid, Nadeem Khan would give provocative speeches at anti-CAA/NRC sit-ins and people would get mobilised.&rsquo;
&nbsp;Khurshid is the highest ranking politician named in police chargesheets so far. CPM leader Brinda Karat, lawyer Prashant Bhushan and activist Yogendra Yadav have also been named in the chargesheet.
