The central government has sent six high-level multi-disciplinary public health teams to six states that are reporting a high number of <a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/india-s-covid-19-death-toll-tops-4-lakh-daily-cases-under-50k-for-5-days-1625199013620" target="_blank">COVID-19 cases.</a>
The teams will assist Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Manipur in Covid infection control and containment measures, the Health Ministry said on Friday. These teams will gather a first-hand understanding of the challenges and issues being faced by the respective state governments and help them strengthen their ongoing activities, the government said.
The teams will monitor COVID Appropriate Behaviour and its enforcement; sufficient logistics including ambulances, ventilators, medical oxygen etc., and the <a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/mumbai-out-of-doses-covid-vaccination-only-from-2-to-5-pm-today-1625193790201" target="_blank">progress in vaccination</a>.
The teams will monitor the situation and also suggest remedial actions.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan took to Twitter on Friday to advise people on ways to detect and manage Mucormycosis, commonly known as Black Fungus. &nbsp;Black Fungus has been reported in a number of coronavirus patients, especially in Maharashtra.
The minister said in his tweet that &lsquo;awareness and early diagnosis can help curb the spread of the fungal infection&rsquo;. He shared four slides on Black Fungus, its symptoms and required action once someone contracts the infection.
Mucormycosis mainly affects people with medical health problems, the minister said, adding that people having co-morbities, uncontrolled diabetes or prolonged ICU stay can get predisposed to the fungal infection.
Pain or redness around eyes, fever, headache, coughing, shortness of breath, bloody vomits and altered mental status are possible symptoms of the infection, he further added.

With the help of this digital data bank, families of Covid patients who have been recommended plasma therapy will be able to immediately contact the donors, Delhi Police said in a release.
A tab called "Donate Plasma, Save Lives" has been added to the website. This tab when clicked opens up a window with two options- one for donors and one for those requesting plasma.
