The Delhi Police has arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan’s close aide Hamid Ali after a raid by anti-corruption branch, officials on Saturday said.
The ACB had on Friday arrested Khan after conducting raids at four premises in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Waqf Board recruitment.
Ali's premise was one of the locations raided by the ACB on Friday.
According to officials, one unlicensed weapon, Rs 12 lakh in cash, and some cartridges were recovered from there.
Ali has been arrested by the southeast district police under Arms Act.
The anti-corruption agency seized Rs 24 lakh in cash and two unlicensed weapons in all in raids at four locations.
The ACB had summoned Khan in a case pertaining to alleged financial misappropriation and other irregularities in the functioning of the Delhi Waqf Board, which Khan heads as its chairman.
An FIR was already registered in connection with the alleged wrongdoing in the board.
As alleged in the FIR, the ACB's Friday statement said, Khan, while working as chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board, illegally recruited 32 people violating all norms and government guidelines and engaged in corruption and favouritism.
The then CEO of Delhi Waqf Board had clearly given a statement and issued a memorandum against the illegal recruitment, the statement had said.
Two FIRs have been registered by the ACB in southeast district pertaining to recovery of illegal weapons.

They said once the process of examining the documents and electronic gadgets, as well as the bank transactions, is completed, summonses will be issued to other accused. The CBI FIR, which was registered before a special court on Wednesday, has also been shared with the Enforcement Directorate, a financial probe agency, which will look into the allegations of money laundering.
The agency on Friday carried out searches at 31 places which included premises related to Sisodia as well as some bureaucrats and businessmen.
The AAP condemned the raids with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claiming the agency has been "asked from above" to harass its leaders. The BJP asked the Delhi government to come out clean on its excise policy.

Former Punjab minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot has been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau on the charge of corruption. The development comes more than a month after Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had warned action against the Congress leader.Dharamsotwas Punjab's Minister of Forests and Social Welfare in the Captain Amarinder Singh Cabinet. Along with him, a local journalist, Kamaljit Singh, who was allegedly working as an aide, was also arrested. The Hindustan Times reported that the vigilance bureau had collected many proofs against the ex minister when they recently arrested a divisional forest officer who is said to have paid huge bribes to the Congress leader.
 He was allegedly paid Rs 500 per tree by contractors when trees were axed to execute development projects.
He has also been accused of masterminding a multi-crore scam in Dalit scholarship schemes.

Assam police officer Junmoni Rabha, who shot to fame for getting her fiance arrested on fraud charges last month, was nabbed on Saturday for alleged corruption in league with her former beau.

Later, several allegations were made against Rabha, who was earlier referred to as 'Lady Singham' or 'Dabang cop' after Bollywood movies on super cops, that she was in league with Pogag who collected money on her behalf. An inquiry was ordered into the charges, the sources said.
The SI, who was taken to Majuli District Jail in Garmur, had been engaged to Pogag in October last year and they were scheduled to get married in November 2022.
Rabha was embroiled in a controversy in January this year when her telephonic conversation with Bihpuria MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuyan was leaked. They were engaged in an altercation over alleged harassment of the people of his constituency by her.
As the leaked audio tape had led to a furore, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that an elected representative must be given due respect.&nbsp;

A Lingayat seer on Monday alleged that mutts (monasteries) are equally affected due to rampant corruption prevailing in the state as they too pay a commission of 30 per cent to get the sanctioned grants released for them.
Reacting to the statements, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said his government considers the seer's allegations "very seriously".
The accusation comes close on the heels of BJP leader K S Eshwarappa resigning from his ministerial position on Saturday after a contractor allegedly died by suicide in a hotel room in Udupi on April 12.
The contractor, in a purported WhatsApp message, had charged that he was compelled to take the extreme step because he was unable to meet Eshwarappa's demand of 40 per cent cut in a public work taken up in Hindalga village of Belagavi district in 2021.
"If a grant is sanctioned for a swami (seer), it reaches the mutt after 30 per cent deduction. This is the plain truth. Officials clearly tell you that unless the amount is deducted, your project will not start," Dingaleshwar Swamiji of Balehosur Mutt in Shirahatti taluk of Gadag said during a rally organised in Badagandi village in Bagalkote district.
The seer charged that none of the government programmes are happening properly in the state.
"There is a pathetic situation of paying 30 per cent commission. The work starts only after paying 30 per cent. Many contractors have stopped their works. There are only talks but no development is happening. Many MLAs fix the rate first before starting the work," the Swamiji claimed.
He added that this was not just his accusation but that of the people of the state and demanded that corruption must stop.
"There is big injustice happening to northern Karnataka. There is no system in place in northern Karnataka. Roads, bus services, education, schools are in bad shape. There is shortage of teachers here. Irrigation works are pathetic," the seer said.
Commenting on the allegations made by the Lingayat seer, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, "He (the seer) is a great swamiji with a great track record. The entire state knows it. I only request His Holiness to give the entire details as to who paid, for what purpose it was paid and whom it was paid to. We will certainly inquire and go into the depth of the case. We consider his allegation very seriously." The seer's charge, though, gave the opposition Congress an ammunition to target the ruling BJP.
"It is a matter of shame that the BJP, which calls itself as a saviour of dharma (righteousness), is eating 30 per cent commission into the grants sanctioned for monasteries and temples," former chief minister Siddaramaiah said.
The Congress leader who has been calling the BJP government a ‘40 per cent commission government’, wondered why there was ‘concession’ of 10 per cent, and asked the BJP government not to limit to seeking 30 per cent commission from the temples and monasteries.
"How is your ‘Dharma Rakshana’ (protection of righteousness) when you take commission from God?” Siddaramaiah sought to know.
He also slammed CM Bommai for his statement in Hosapete during the BJP executive committee meeting on Sunday that the BJP would lay bare the Congress party’s corruption before public.
"Don’t make empty noise that you (Bommai) have evidences of corruption during Congress regime. Release the document and then talk," Siddaramaiah challenged the Chief Minister.

Eshwarappa's two associates, Basavaraj and Ramesh, have also been named in the FIR which was registered based on a complaint filed by contractor's brother Prashant.
Patil had accused the minister's associates of demanding a 40 per cent commission in the ₹ 4 crore work he had carried out in Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department.
Patil, who identified himself as the national secretary of a right-wing group called Hindu Vahini, had recently written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union minister for rural development Giriraj Singh alleging that Eshwarappa and his associates were harassing him for commissions. Eshwarappa claimed that he did not know Patil.
