Shecky Greene was best known for his stand-up and as a pioneering lounge act, worked alongside the likes of Frank Sinatra during his extensive career.

Hollywood's one of the most iconic comedian, Shecky Greene passed away at the age of 97. Known for his several appearances and guest-hosting gigs on 'The Tonight Show' Starring Johnny Carson, Greene's work also extended to film and other television projects, including movies such as 'History of the World, Part I' and programs like 'Combat!' and 'Laverne &amp; Shirley.' his manager Howard Rapp confirmed the news for the popular magazine 'PEOPLE.'&nbsp;
Greene's widow, Marie Musso Greene told the Review-Journal that her husband died of natural causes on Sunday morning, noting that he "always made humor out of whatever he could."
"He was a brilliant Comedian. He lead off for 7 years and came back for his first show at Kutchers Hotel and worked in many large venues again,&rdquo; Rapp said of Greene in a statement to PEOPLE. &ldquo;He loved entertaining again. I spoked to him last week and we had a fun talk and he finished with a song that included my name."Rapp concluded, "Many people will miss this TALENT." Greene, perhaps best known for his stand-up and as a pioneering lounge act, worked alongside the likes of Frank Sinatra during his extensive career. Frequently appearing on talk and game shows from the 1950s through 1970s, he notably guested on 'The Tonight Show' extensively throughout Carson's run. As Per Variety, he was a guest on more than 60 episodes of the program. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Greene began his six decades in Vegas when he opened for Dorothy Shay in 1954, and later celebrated his final ticketed performances in the city in 2011. Indian stand-up comedian Sundeep Sharma shared details of a harrowing incident that took place in Noida. The comedian shared a post on X on December 18, in which he mentioned encountering an armed man on a desolate road after his show.&nbsp; He said he was accompanied by fellow comedian Saurab Pandey.&nbsp;
Sundeep's post read, "So we were at gunpoint in the middle of a secluded road in Noida Sec 104.&nbsp; A man stood in the middle of the dark road holding a gun in his hand. He was smiling and signalled us to stop, an SUV stopped right behind us.'
He further tweeted, 'The man approached the car, I aggressively shouted while holding my mobile phone, which I thought was also a potential self defence weapon in the situation, he looked at us went to the side of the road and signalled us to go, all this while smiling. We left from there alive.'
Sundeep also urged Uttar Pradesh police to take action in his post
Soon after this, the post went viral and several social media users reacted to it.&nbsp;

Actor-comedian Vir Das is baffled over an order of bananas he called for in America. Das had ordered two bananas as a post-workout snack but instead of receiving the fruits au naturel, he got a peeled, sliced, stacked and packaged version.&nbsp;
Sharing a video on social media, Das said he 'justed wanted bananas for lunch,' not its packaged version. In the video, he lists why serving or selling bananas like that is pointless.
Vir Das goes on to elaborate that entire process involves use of extra people who would have had to cut and package the fruit. He also pointed out that the use of plastic adds to the pollution. The comedian also rued the fact that one would need cutlery to eat the sliced bananas.
Vir Das adds he is amazed as to why somebody would feel the need to package something that has already been packaged by God. His parting shot was that only in American do people think they can do better than God.&nbsp;

US comedian Jay Leno reportedly suffered severe facial burns after his car burst into flames in the garage of his Los Angeles house. He was admitted to a hospital following the incident, and he had to cancel his performance scheduled for Sunday night, according to PEOPLE magazine. Jay Leno was scheduled to perform at a financial conference in Las Vegas on November 13.
The cause and the circumstances of the fire are not clear yet. In a statement to Variety, the former &lsquo;The Tonight Show&rsquo; host said he got some serious burns from a gasoline fire, but he is ok and needs a week or two to get back on his feet.
Jay Leno is known to have a collection of more than 200 cars. People magazine was the first to report the news of Leno&rsquo;s health.

The police took Singh's preventive custody after he attempted to go to the venue where Munawar  was to perform. It said the MLA has not been arrested.
Prior to comedian's August 20 show, Singh in a video message threatened that he will set the venue on fire if Faruqui was allowed to perform. 
He said if anything goes wrong KTR government will have to be blamed.
In a video message, Singh asked the police to cancel the show saying peace and harmony should not be disturbed. "If police don't pay heed, should we sit idle," he added. 
Earlier, Singh had protested Faruqi's show in Hyderabad alleging that he insults Hindu Gods.  The comedian's January 9 show was called-off in the city likely reportedly after saffron party's opposition. Though his team had cited rising COVID cases for the cancellation
