<p>Music Maestro AR Rahman&rsquo;s recent concert in Chennai turned out to be a nightmare as people complained of poor management by the organisers. Now, singer Chinmayi Sripaada has reacted to the fiasco and has come out in support of women who were allegedly molested during the stampede.</p>
<p>Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Chinmayi said, &lsquo;To the girls whose trauma I share - a core memory, as my body keeps score: It is not your shame. It is not your fault. A trauma that doesn&rsquo;t scratch away, scrub away, wash away.&rsquo;</p>
<p>&lsquo;You did not deserve this. You deserved music, you deserved fun, you deserved joy, you deserved a concert experience that made you cry; cry from joy you felt from the music, from feelings that evoked nostalgia. You deserved warmth, the shared euphoria from other fans as everyone sang along, shouted along, jumped along to songs that we love to vibe and groove to. You deserved an experience that made you recount it with love, think of it with fondness and wish for the next one to make a beautiful new memory associated with this magical beautiful thing called music, with a musician we adore,&rsquo; she added.</p>
<p>&lsquo;I wish you didn&rsquo;t have to go through sexual harassment but you did and wish as I might that such experiences never happen to anyone, this wish doesn&rsquo;t come to pass. I wish only love and healing - and hope you have a loved one holding your hand,&rsquo; Sripaada said.</p>
<p>She also lashed out at the people who were discrediting the stories of sexual harassment and molestation that were shared by the women.</p>
<p>She wrote, &lsquo;Now&hellip; You darned dingbats who are gaslighting those who recounted their sexual harassment; You darned dingbats who said avoid crowds if you don't want to be molested; You darned dingbats who asked if the girls were tweeting for engagement, views, attention what have you. Thirundha maateengla da neenga (Are you all lost)???&rsquo;</p>
<p>AR Rahman had posted an apology on X post the fiasco and promised refunds.</p>

<p>Tamil singer Chinmayi Sripaada has urged Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin to take action against lyricist Vairamuthu, who has been named by several women during the MeToo movement in India. In her tweet, Chinmayi claimed that DMK party members and people close to Stalin tried to silence her on the matter.</p>
<p>Chinmayi&rsquo;s statement read, &lsquo;Respected Honble CM, Sir, It is amazing you show support to the cause of justice to sexual harassment survivors every time a case comes to notice across India. When political leaders speak there is hope for change. However there are no systems in place yet &ndash; No ICC or POCSO in many industries especially in the Film Industry. 17+ women have named your friend/supporter Mr Vairamuthu who continues to enjoy your proximity which he uses to silence women who speak up even more. Your party continues to platform him, as have other politicians in Tamilnadu.&rsquo;</p>
<p>She added, &lsquo;With almost 5 years of facing a work ban in the Tamil Film Industry and fighting a case with Honble City Civil Court there seems to be no end in sight. I have the strength to fight this considering it may even take another 20 years to get justice in this Country when we lack connections or clout. I filed a complaint with the NCW way back in 2018-2019 because that was the only route available for many of us, and handed a handwritten complaint to police officers that came home to investigate. I have enough circumstantial evidence including phone call records where Vairamuthu arranged a call to arrive at a &lsquo;compromise&rsquo;. His son Madhan Karky was also informed via text to which he called, responded and agreed he and his family were already aware of his father&rsquo;s behaviour several years ago. The rules cannot be different for Vairamuthu and Brij Bhushan.&rsquo;</p>
<p>The singer also compared the issue with the ongoing protests of wrestlers in Delhi.</p>
<p>She further asked him to do the needful so that across Tamil Nadu workplaces can be safer.<br>&lsquo;I speak as someone who has been ostracised by my industry because people are too scared to speak against the Poet because of his political connections. Please make sure my Industry has ICCs and POCSO Units (since Children are employed in Mass Media and are safe from Child Sexual abuse) in all the Unions &ndash; many women AND men continue to face sexual harassment in TV and Film,&rsquo; she concluded her post.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">&lsquo;I was slightly mind messed that I should have a healthy pregnancy especially post my miscarriage,&rsquo; Chinmayi Sripada said in a video.</p>

<p>Hours after sharing the &lsquo;only selfie&rsquo; she clicked during pregnancy, singer Chinmayi Sripada took to Instagram once again and revealed why she didn&rsquo;t share her baby bump pictures on social media. In a video, the singer shared that she wanted to safeguard her privacy after suffering a miscarriage earlier. Chinmayi also mentioned that she has &lsquo;a little bit of regret about not taking many photographs&rsquo; during pregnancy.</p>
<p>&lsquo;I posted a photograph of myself from 32 weeks pregnant just because I think now I have a little bit of regret about not taking more photographs. But I have already mentioned on my YouTube channel I was slightly mind messed that I should have a healthy pregnancy especially post my miscarriage. After 32 weeks, or even after then, I think I was scared&hellip; I was still showing up at dubbing, and recordings and telling people not to take any photographs, and completely respect my privacy. I even had a press meet around the time, and even then the media was really respectful,&rsquo; she shared.</p>
<p>Addressing rumours of welcoming twins via surrogacy, she said that a mother is a mother, whether it is a human or pet parents. She added that people&rsquo;s opinion is not her problem.</p>
<p>&lsquo;So as far as these constant questions on surrogacy, I think it really doesn't matter if somebody had a baby through surrogacy, IVF, or normal delivery or a caesarian delivery. It really doesn't matter. A mother is a mother, whether it is a human or pet parents. So, I really don't care if people think I had babies through surrogacy, it is up to them to assume whatever they want. Their opinion on me is not my problem,&rsquo; she said.</p>
<p>Chinmayi also shared a photo from November 2020, 5-6 days after her miscarriage, and wrote that she went and performed after the unfortunate incident.</p>
<p>&lsquo;I sat down on a chair and sang at a concert. I only said I had a minor surgical procedure and wouldn&rsquo;t be able to stand and sing but even in my own admission I gave a cracker of a performance and found joy from my singing, after days of continuous crying. But looking at this photo - you&rsquo;d never have known - because I didn&rsquo;t tell you. Therefore - remember to be kind, don&rsquo;t speculate,&rsquo; she wrote.</p>

<p>Singer Chinmayi Sripaada and her actor-husband Rahul Ravindran were blessed with twins in June. As soon as the singer shared the news, there were reports claiming that the couple became parents through surrogacy.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, the singer took to Instagram and dismissed these rumours. She shared a picture in which she is seen flaunting her baby bump and in the caption, she mentioned that this was the only selfie she took throughout pregnancy.</p>
<p>&lsquo;Here at almost 32 weeks,' she wrote.</p>
