Two people were killed and over 30 were wounded in mass shootings overnight in three US states, authorities said on Saturday, stoking concerns that a spike in gun violence could continue into summer as Covid-19 restrictions ease and more people are free to socialize.
In Chicago, a woman was killed and nine other people were wounded when two men opened fire on a group standing on a sidewalk. In the Georgia city of Savannah, police said one man was killed and seven other people were wounded. Among the 14 injured in Austin, two are critically ill.
No arrests have been made so far.

Animals, including a reindeer, a polar bear and bison, at the Brookfield Zoo in Suburban Chicago were given recycled Christmas trees. The polar bear called Hudson even managed to find tasty&nbsp;treats like meat and vegetables hidden inside the tree branches. The zoo had over 650 trees to recycle&nbsp;and the ones not used by the animals were used in landscaping of the park's flower beds!

In a bid to make shopping faster than ever, Amazon has unveiled new technology to let shoppers pay with the palm of their hand.&nbsp;
The retail giant has introduced&nbsp;Amazon One, which connects your palm print to a stored credit card, which means you can place your hand above a sensor to enter and purchase products at checkout-free&nbsp;Amazon&nbsp;Go stores.
To start off, the feature will be rolled out in Seattle where Amazon is headquartered, followed by more Amazon Go stores in&nbsp;San Francisco, New York, and Chicago.&nbsp;
The proprietary technology could be the future of retail as Amazon begins bringing it to other retailers as well as offices and stadiums.&nbsp;
