The much-hyped Nothing Phone (1) is being slowly revealed in multiple teasers.

Former OnePlus co-founder&rsquo;s new venture, Nothing, has announced that its debut Android smartphone, Nothing Phone (1), will debut globally on July 12.
However, the design of the upcoming smartphone has been officially revealed on Twitter.
As expected, the back of the phone continues with the translucent design theme that debuted on the Ear (1) Bluetooth earbuds.&nbsp;
The device features a dual-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The body is made of metal with a textured finish and the Nothing logo in the bottom left corner. In addition to the power and volume buttons, the Nothing Phone (1) also has a toggle switch on the back, but it's not clear what it does.
From previous teasers, it&rsquo;s already known that the front of the device looks quite similar to a host of other Android smartphones out there. However, the bezels look symmetrical in the teaser, which should help give this phone a premium look.
While we still wait for more specifications to be teased, the Phone (1) is expected to be an upper mid-range device with the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor at its helm.

Nothing is widely expected to announce plans for their first smartphone at the event, which has been rumoured for a while. The company has not announced any official plans to enter the smartphone space, but CEO Carl Pei has teased the possibility in a series of tweets, cryptically saying that he was &lsquo;back on Android&rsquo;. The official Twitter accounts for Android, and Qualcomm&rsquo;s Snapdragon chipsets, replied to the tweet.
The company has also announced a $70M Series B fundraise. The new funding will go towards scaling its product ecosystem and establishing its London Design Hub. The new investment brings the total raised by Nothing to $144M to date.

Carl Pei tweeted &ldquo;Back on Android&rdquo; on February 16, followed by &ldquo;Android 12 is nice!&rdquo;. He also tagged Hiroshi Lockheimer, the Senior Vice President of Android, in his tweet. The official Twitter account for Android responded with a cryptic &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve got a lot to catch up on Carl,&rdquo; while the official account for Qualcomm&rsquo;s Snapdragon chipsets also joined in with a meme.
In a separate tweet, Carl Pei shared some artwork by a Nothing fan who had drawn a sketch for a possible Nothing phone design.
Neither Nothing nor Cal Pei&nbsp;have officially mentioned anything about launching a smartphone, but earlier reports have indicated that the company is working on launching the device. The phone may even launch in 2022.
