Incident Details The accident occurred around 9:45 pm when the driver of BEST Route 332, traveling from Kurla Station to Andheri, lost control. The bus struck multiple vehicles and pedestrians before crashing into a housing society wall. Chaos erupted as the bus plowed through its path, leaving a trail of destruction.

Victims and Response The deceased have been identified as Kannis Fatima Ansari, Shivam Kashyap, Afreen Abdul Salim Shah, and Anam Shaikh. Local residents rushed the injured to Bhabha Hospital, while emergency services, including the police and fire brigade, promptly arrived at the scene. Many of the injured are still receiving treatment.

Investigation Underway Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Ganesh Gawde confirmed the driver's detention and announced an inquiry to determine the cause. A forensic team inspected the site, and CCTV footage showing the speeding bus is being analyzed. A case has been registered as investigations continue.

The accident took place around 5 am near Jojikot village in Behta Mujhawar police station area.
District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi said prima facie the bus, which was on its way to Delhi from Bihar, was speeding and hit the milk tanker from behind.
Eighteen people died and 19 were injured in the accident. A probe has been launched into the matter, he said.
Bangarmau Circle Officer (CO) Arvind Kumar said due to the impact of the collision, both the bus and milk tanker overturned. Drivers of the two vehicles were among the dead.
He said the injured were rushed to a hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.
Police are trying to identify the victims.

Three people were killed when an APSRTC bus overshot the platform at the bus terminus here on Monday.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock and grief over the mishap at the Pandit Nehru bus terminus here and announced ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased.
The incident occurred this morning when an RTC bus crashed into platform no. 12 of the terminus here and mowed down three people.
An 18-month-old girl, who sustained injuries, died later at a hospital here.
"Instead of reversing the vehicle, the driver drove forward, overshooting the platform,&rdquo; regional manager M Yesu Danam told PTI.
Meanwhile, the CM offered his condolences to the bereaved families and directed officials to ensure better medical treatment to the injured.
He also ordered an inquiry into the accident, a release from CMO said.
APSRTC Executive Director (Operations) A Koteshwar Rao said the road transport corporation will take care of the medical expenses of the two injured persons.
Vijayawada bus station is a major connection point for both the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the Vijayawada &ndash; Guntur service being one of the most prominent ones.

The police received information regarding the accident around 11 am. When they reached the spot, they found a pileup of three buses, an autorickshaw, a car and a motorcycle, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said.
There were 216 students in the four buses. Around 25 students, three members of school staff and one other person were injured in the accident, Chauhan said.
The injured are undergoing treatment at LNJP Hospital. Legal action is being taken accordingly, the police said.

Maha: Bus carrying students overturns in Raigad district; 2 killed, 47 hurt

The incident occurred near Magic Point hill on the old Mumbai-Pune highway around 8 pm, about 14 km from Lonavala hill station, an official said.

Two students were killed and 47 others injured on Sunday night when their bus overturned in a hilly section near Khopoli town in Raigad district of Maharashtra while they were returning from a picnic in Lonavala, police said.
Prima facie, the driver of the bus lost control of the wheel due to the failure of the brakes.
The incident occurred near Magic Point hill on the old Mumbai-Pune highway around 8 pm, about 14 km from Lonavala hill station, an official said.
At least 49 students of a coaching class from suburban Chembur in Mumbai were travelling in the private bus, he said, adding they all are students of class 10.

All the students and the driver sustained injuries in the accident, he said, adding they were rushed to hospitals in Lonavala and Khopoli.
Two students aged 17 and 16, who were seriously injured, were declared dead during treatment, the official said.
The deceased are identified as Hitika Khanna, a resident of Chembur camp, and Raj Rajesh Mhatre (16), a resident of Asalfa village in suburban Ghatkopar.
The process to register an FIR was on, the official added.

"A luxury bus travelling to Mumbai from Yavatmal hit a trailer truck going to Pune at an intersection near Mirchi Hotel on Nashik-Aurangabad highway. Soon after ramming into the truck, the bus caught fire in which 11 passengers died," Nashik Police Commissioner Jayant Naiknavare said.
The injured persons were admitted to the District Civil Hospital and another private medical facility in Nashik, he said.
Before catching fire, the bus also hit a mini cargo van, due to which it got overturned, the commissioner added.

Kullu Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said the Sainj bound private bus fell into the gorge near Jangla village at around 8.30 am.  
District officials and rescue teams have reached the spot, he said, adding the injured were being taken to a nearby hospital.

At least 30 people have been injured after a massive collision between 2 buses in Tamil Nadu's Salem. 
The accident was captured on the camera fitted inside one of the buses. 
The footage shows the bus travelling at quite some speed before a bus comes from the other side and slams into it. The incident happened on Tuesday.

At least six people were killed and over a dozen injured as an electric bus rammed into bystanders in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on Monday.
Reports said the speeding bus lost control at Tat Mill crossing and hit several bystanders, three cars and many motorcycles. The bus then hit a traffic booth before coming to a halt after it smashed into a standing truck.
Police said the injured have been shifted to a hospital and some among them are critical. A manhunt has been launched for the driver of the bus who fled the scene.
Several politicians, including Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, offered their condolences to the families of the dead. President Ramnath Kovid also offered his condolences in a tweet.

The labourers, who are from Bihar, were returning from Haryana when their bus broke down on a highway last night. They then slept on the road in front of the bus.
The double-decker bus, was parked on the side of the road with passengers inside it. The truck hit the bus from behind, crushing the labourers to death.
