Mangal first made his debut in the entertainment industry in 1986 with TV show 'Katha Sagar.' In the same year, he appeared in another TV show titled 'Buniyaad' and became a household name.

He was undergoing treatment at a cancer hospital in Ludhiana.

He passed away a week before his birthday on June 18. &nbsp;
He was also a producer-writer and has also worked in many Punjabi films. &nbsp;
He is known for his TV shows like 'Kismat', 'Ghutan', 'Rishta', and 'Param Vir Chakra', among others.&nbsp;
