Thailand is a major transit country for meth that enters the country via Laos from Myanmar. The country known for its Buddhist temples, provides free rehab to addicts

Buddhist temple in central Thailand was left without its priests after all of them were defrocked for reportedly failing drug tests on Monday.
Four monks, including an abbot, at a temple in Phetchabun province's Bung Sam Phan district tested positive for methamphetamine and were reportedly transferred to a medical facility for drug rehabilitation.
More monks have been dispatched to the temple so that locals don't face any inconvenience with regard to their worship and religious procedures.

Speaking at the India-Japan Samwad Conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday proposed to create a library of traditional Buddhist literature and scriptures adding that India would be happy to host the facility and provide appropriate resources for it. In order to boost India-Japan relations, the Prime Minister thanked the Government of Japan for its "constant support to samwad". Prime Minister Modi hailed the forum for the great work it has done to promote the ideas and ideals of Lord Buddha, especially among the youth. He also said the library is to carry forward our ancient tradition of spiritual and scholarly exchanges.

Odisha's Konark Sun temple reopens for visitors

The Sun Temple at Konark in Odisha's Puri district, a major tourist attraction, was on Tuesday re-opened for visitors after remaining closed for more than five months, an official said.
Though other ASI protected monuments in the state like Raja Rani temple, Udaygiri&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lalitgiri Buddhist monuments were opened earlier, the Konark temple received visitors only on September 1. A total of 2,500 visitors will now be allowed entry every day in two phases.&nbsp;
The Shree Jagannath Temple in the state continues to remain closed since March 15 as a precautionary measure to check the spread of the infection.
