Day after setting off smoke bombs and shot 10 passengers in a packed Brooklyn subway train, a 62-year old male, initially identified as a 'Person of Interest' has been arrested and charged with a federal terrorism offense.
Frank R. James, 62, was taken into custody in Manhattan's East Village neighborhood, law enforcement officials who weren't authorized to discuss the investigation. 
Ten people - seven males, three females - were injured by gunfire and an additional 13 were either injured as they rushed to get out of the train station or they suffered smoke inhalation. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening.
The 62-year-old gunman was wearing a gas mask and then opened a gas canister inside a subway carriage before open firing at the people.
The police are yet to determine the suspect’s motive.
