Singer Bob Dylan has been accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl in 1965, according to a new lawsuit.
The 'Like a Rolling Stone' singer whose real name is Robert Zimmerman, allegedly groomed, sexually abused and threatened physical violence against the woman who says the US rock and folk legend sexually abused her almost 60 years ago.
The alleged abuse occurred multiple times over a six-week period between April and May in 1965, with some incidents occurring in his Chelsea Hotel apartment in New York.
The legal documents also claim that Dylan 'exploited his status as a musician' to illegally provide drugs and alcohol to the underage girl.
However, a spokesperson for Dylan, said that the 56-year-old woman claim is untrue and will be vigorously defended.
Considered to be the greatest singer-songwriter of all time, Dylan's most notable works include 'Blowin In The Wind', 'The Times They Are a-Changin'.
In 2016, Dylan won the Nobel Prize for Literature 'for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition'.
