Sushant Singh Rajput managed to win a huge fan following in a short yet noteworthy career. He is best remembered for his work in the then-popular show &lsquo;Pavitra Rishta&rsquo;, in which he played the role of Manav Deshmukh. Sushant was associated with the show from 2009 to 2011. Following this, he bagged a key role in Abhishek Kapoor`s &lsquo;Kai Po Che!&rsquo; in 2013. His performance in the film earned him a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Debut. Over the years, Sushant Singh Rajput went on to appear in several movies. Here&rsquo;s a quick look at how he started his career. Before venturing into acting, Patna-born Sushant enrolled for Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) after scoring an All-India Rank of 7 in its entrance examination in 2003. He dropped out of college in the third year of college to pursue his dreams. Sushant had enrolled himself in Shiamak Davar&rsquo;s classes during his days at the DCE and he soon joined the choreographer and became a background dancer for his troupe. Did you know, he featured in the song &lsquo;Dhoom Again&rsquo; from &lsquo;Dhoom 2&rsquo;. He was also a part of Aishwarya Rai&rsquo;s act at 2006 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, apart from performing at IIFA in 2005. Sushant then joined Barry John&rsquo;s acting classes. A casting director for Balaji Telefilms saw him performing a stage play for &lsquo;Ekjute&rsquo; and in 2008, he was offered his first on-screen role in the show &lsquo;Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil&rsquo;. He then featured in the popular daily soap &lsquo;Pavitra Rishta&rsquo; and also participated in a few dance reality shows such as 'Zara Nachke Dikha 2' and 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4'. This serial gave him a big break in the industry and made a way for him towards Bollywood. After his debut with &lsquo;Kai Po Che!&rsquo;, he was seen in films like 'Shuddh Desi Romance', 'PK' and 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!'. The biopic of former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni named &lsquo;MS Dhoni- The Untold Story&rsquo; that released in 2016, made him the star of Bollywood. His other films include 'Raabta', 'Kedarnath', &lsquo;Sonchiriya&rsquo; and &lsquo;Chhichhore&rsquo;. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020.
