The Trinamool Congress leadership has decided to send an all-women fact-finding team to Jahangirpuri area in Delhi, which was rocked by communal violence recently, on Friday, party sources said here.
The team comprising six MPs will submit its report to party supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
“This fact-finding team will go there on Friday, speak to the people and enquire about the incident,” a senior TMC leader said.
The TMCs’ decision to send the fact-finding team to Jahangirpuri comes days after the BJP sent similar teams to Bogtui in Birbhum district where nine people were burnt alive, and Hanshkhali in Nadia district where a minor girl died after she was allegedly gang-raped.
The TMC’s six-member fact-finding team comprises Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Satabdi Roy, Mala Roy, Pratima Mondal, Sajda Ahmed, and Aparupa Poddar, the leader said.
BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh said the TMC is sending the team to disturb the peace and stability of the area.
“The TMC can’t maintain law and order in Bengal, but they are sending a team to Delhi," he said.

The CBI on Saturday registered an FIR against 10 people in connection with the murder of TMC leader Bhadu Sheikh, which apparently led to the killing of nine people in West Bengal's Birbhum district, a senior official said.
Among those named in the FIR are Palash Shiekh, Sanju Shiekh, Sona Shiekh and Choto Shiekh -- who have been arrested, he said.
The case was filed under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy), and relevant sections of the Explosive Substances Act.
The CBI visited Rampurhat police station during the day, and collected the case diary and documents linked to Bhadhu Sheikh's murder investigation, the official said.
"The CBI officers spoke to the police personnel there. They also spoke to witnesses of the murder and took stock of the situation," he said.
CBI officers also visited Bogtui Mor where Bhadu Sheikh was killed, he added.
The CBI took over the investigation of murder from the police, following an order of the Calcutta High Court.

The West Bengal Assembly plunged into pandemonium on Monday as ruling TMC and BJP MLAs exchanged blows after saffron party legislators demanded a statement by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over "worsening" law and order situation in the state.

The bench said that the CBI probe was being ordered in the interest of justice.

Modi, on Wednesday, described the killings in Birbhum as "heinous", and said the culprits should not be forgiven. He hoped that the state government would take all necessary steps to punish the perpetrators.
The PM also promised all help to Bengal in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comment proves that he, too, believes that it is the state government that should be conducting a probe into the matter. The demand for imposition of President's Rule by the BJP doesn't stand anymore," TMC state spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said.

The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday directed CFSL Delhi to immediately collect necessary materials for forensic examination at Bogtui village in Bengal’s Birbhum district, where at least eight people were charred to death in the suspected fallout of a TMC panchayat official’s murder.
The court asked the state government to file a report in the case before it by 2 pm on Thursday, when the matter will be taken up for hearing again.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Prakash Shrivastava, taking up a suo motu petition and a set of PILs, ordered that CCTVs be installed at the crime scene in the presence of district judge, Purba Bardhaman, and recordings be done until further orders.
The bench, also comprising justice R Bharadwaj, directed a team of Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Delhi to visit the place of incident and collect samples for examination without any delay.
It asked the DGP to ensure safety of witnesses, including that of a minor boy injured in the arson, in consultation with the district judge, Purba Bardhaman.
The court observed that suo motu petition has been registered for fair investigation in the case.
The petitioners in the PILs have prayed for a probe by the CBI or by any other agency which is not controlled by the state.
Advocate general representing the government opposed the prayer, stating an SIT was probing the matter and that there was no need to transfer the case to any other agency.
