The World Economic Forum stated that the 2024 list comprises an exceptional group of emerging leaders from politics, business, civil society, the arts, and academia. Bhumi Pednekar recently discussed her role in the film 'Bhakshak' during an interview with India Today, describing it as emotionally challenging. She mentioned grappling with extensive research material, particularly concerning the harsh realities faced by young girls, which left a lasting impact on her.
She said, &lsquo;Absolutely, it was emotionally challenging. There was a lot of research material that I had. The unfortunate thing is that my research material was actually something that happened with these little girls. So it wasn't something that you know or that you can live with. That information haunts you. It still haunts me. I don't think I'll ever be able to disconnect my conscience from everything that I read. Yes, it definitely wasn't the easiest shooting the film. But one thing that kind of made the journey easier, was the track that Sanjay Mishra and I have&rsquo;.
Describing her character in the film, Bhumi said, &lsquo;I play a journalist who belongs to that part of the world of journalism, where she is a lone ranger. She lacks institutional support or financial backing but possesses unwavering determination. What sets her apart is her quiet strength and commitment to her passion. And that's why I love this character. Unlike typical female-led thrillers where the protagonist is empowered by external factors, she relies solely on her voice, microphone, love for her passion and integrity.&rsquo;

Claimed to be inspired by true events, the trailer showcases Vaishali's fight for justice, assisted by Sanjay Mishra, against Aditya Srivastava's character, Bansi Sahu.
The narrative aims to shed light on societal silence towards crimes against women as towards the end, Bhumi&rsquo;s Vaishali asks, &lsquo;Have you forgotten to feel the pain of others? Do you still call yourself a human being or do you feel you are a &lsquo;Bhakshak&rsquo; (predator).&rsquo;

Now, actor Swara Bhasker has reacted to these edits. She tweeted, 'Nothing stings like facts. In India, we have a new affliction: Allergy to facts. #bheed #censorship.'
As per the list, a bunch of swear words and some nudity was removed from the film. One of the edits includes removal of 'all the (direct and indirect) speeches and references of the Hon'ble PM (voice-over).' In addittion, &lsquo;Pradhanmantri was replaced with Mantri and voice-over of the Delhi CM replaced, wherever they occurred/appeared (also removed from sub-titles).&rsquo; There are several more edits that were made.

Sharing the teaser on social media, actor Rajkummar Rao wrote, &lsquo;A crisis that created borders within the country and its people.&rsquo;
The clip shows how migrant workers travelled in jampacked trains, buses, and even on foot to reach their villages as the government imposed a nationwide lockdown, putting a full stop on all ongoing non-essential activities. It then introduces Kritika Kamra as a journalist on ground zero, Ashutosh Rana and Rajkummar Rao as police offers and Bhumi Pednekar as a medical professional. Pankaj Kapur and Dia Mirza also feature in the new captivating teaser.

In a recent roundtable, Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Tamannah Bhatia, Rakul Preet Singh and Alaya F addressed the existing pay disparity issue in Bollywood.

Global star Priyanka Chopra recently opened up about the pay disparity issue in Bollywood and mentioned how it took her 22 years to get paid as much as her male co-stars. Now, in a recent roundtable interview, Indian cinema&rsquo;s leading ladies Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Tamannah Bhatia, Rakul Preet Singh and Alaya F addressed how pay disparity issue affects the careers of heroines.
Bhumi Pednekar said, 'I could have as many Rs 100 or 200 crore films as my male-costar. I may be appreciated for my work but it&rsquo;s a norm that I will not be paid as close to what he is being paid. And it won&rsquo;t change with us fighting. It has to happen from every aspect. The disparity was also in the west but the men there stood up for women. They said either they will take a pay cut or get them the same remuneration. And while I don&rsquo;t want anyone to stand up for me, there has to be empathy. One needs to acknowledge the issue.'
Tamannah Bhatia also talked about the issue and said that Alia Bhatt's performance proved that female actors can also get numbers and the disparity is open and out in the film industry.
Rakul Preet mentioned that it's going to be a long route to get equal remuneration even when a female actor has equal input in the film.
Extending the point, Huma Qureshi said, 'But we should also understand that the males have created a market over years. We cannot pitch 10 female films with the 100s they have.'

Actor Rakul Preet Singh with boyfriend Jacky Bhagnani, Rajkumar Rao and wife Patralekha were among many others who attended the the bash. The guest list also included the Khan siblings - Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn's daughter Nysa Devgn and her friend Orhan Awayramani.&nbsp;
Suhana wore a golden heavily embellished saree and completed her look with a messy bun and nude makeup, while Nysa looked gorgeous in a golden lehenga.&nbsp;
