The year 2022 is drawing to a close. While there were no groundbreaking smartphone innovations this year, we got some very capable phones nonetheless.
Here is a recap of the best smartphones launched in 2022.&nbsp;
Best overall: Galaxy S22 Ultra
Samsung&rsquo;s S22 Ultra is the most balanced high-end smartphone to launch in 2022.&nbsp;
It has a great display, powerful chipset and a capable set of cameras with an industry-leading 100x zoom functionality.&nbsp;
The S22 Ultra also combines Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy Note and Galaxy S series, thanks to which it comes with an integrated stylus which can take your productivity game to the next level.&nbsp;
Best cameras: Vivo X80 Pro
Vivo&rsquo;s collaboration with Zeiss came a long way in 2022 and gave us the X80 Pro. This smartphone has a complete camera system with great output across all scenarios.&nbsp;
Other aspects of this device, such as its display and performance are quite great as well. What&rsquo;s even better is that at ₹80,000, it is more affordable than its rivals.&nbsp;
Best foldable: Galaxy Z Fold 4
Foldables have been out for 3 years now, but Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy Fold still remains the only globally available book-style foldable smartphone. But that hasn't stopped Samsung from improving it.&nbsp;

Wireless earbuds are everywhere. Walk down the street and you are pretty much guaranteed to spot someone wearing a pair.&nbsp;
Thankfully, TWS earbuds are also getting better every year, and here is a list of the top earbuds that stood out in 2022.&nbsp;
Best overall: Oppo Enco X2
Oppo&rsquo;s Enco X2s provide a proper flagship-grade audio experience for much less money than other earbuds on this list. Not only do they sound very good, but the on-board bone conduction mic on these earbuds also ensures great calling performance.&nbsp;
These earbuds work well with both Android and iOS and therefore they deserve your attention.&nbsp;
Best noise-cancelling: Sony WF-1000XM4
Sony&rsquo;s flagship earbuds offer many strengths of its over-ear headphones in a pocketable form factor. The WF-1000XM4s sound amazing, have the best active noise cancellation in the earbuds business and also come with a long battery life.&nbsp;
They work well with both Android and iOS which is a big plus. However, the earbuds are slightly bulkier than competing earbuds so they may not be as comfortable for all.&nbsp;
Best sound quality: Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
Samsung has done a brilliant job with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro by making sure that they sound superbly balanced and are also very comfortable to wear.
However, these are a Samsung ecosystem product, which means that many great features like high-res audio and multipoint Bluetooth connectivity do not work with non-Samsung phones.&nbsp;
That being said, you should not bother looking at other earbuds if you own a Samsung Galaxy smartphone as this is the best option in that case.&nbsp;
Best for iOS: Apple AirPods Pro 2
The second-generation AirPods Pro are Apple&rsquo;s best earbuds yet. They sound great and have really effective noise cancellation as well.&nbsp;
The second generation model also gets onboard volume control and adaptive transparency. If you have an iPhone or a MacBook, then look no further.&nbsp;
Best for Android: Google Pixel Buds Pro
Google&rsquo;s Pixel Buds Pros are quite an all-rounder. These earbuds sound great, offer a long battery life and also have decent noise cancellation.&nbsp;
While the fit of these earbuds can be hit or miss depending on the size of your ears, the Pixel Buds Pro make for a very well balanced pair of earbuds for Android.&nbsp;
Best budget option: Oppo Enco Buds 2
Brands, in general, want you to spend a lot of money for a quality product. However, exceptions do exist.

However, at ₹16,990, they are priced way too close to Sony&rsquo;s excellent WF-1000XM4s, which is the reason why these earbuds are not a part of the main list.&nbsp;
