Indian badminton stars Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty continue to impress. The CWG Champions are through to the final of the French Open.

The Commonwealth Games Champions defeated the Korean pair Choi Sol Gyu and Kim Won in straight games.

Indian doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy &amp; Chirag Shetty reached the final of the French Open Super 750 badminton tournament with a straight games victory against the Korean combination of Choi Sol Gyu and Kim Won.
The Commonwealth Games Champions made light work of their semi-final that lasted 45 minutes, winning 21-18, 21-14.

The World No. 8 pair's superb attacking game and brilliant net play saw them outclass the 18th-ranked Korean duo.
Having won the Indian Open in January, this will be the second BWF World Tour Final for the pair this year. They had also reached the final of the French Open in 2019, where they lost to the Indonesian pair of Marcus Gideon &amp; Kevin Sukamuljo.

How many times have you witnessed a sporting body apologising to an athlete? Rarely, right? But it has happened with Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu and that too on her 27th birthday on Tuesday.  
Badminton Asia Technical Committee chairman Chih Shen Chen apologised to the two-time Olympic medalist for the human error made by the referee during Sindhu's semifinal match against Japan's Akane Yamaguchi at Badminton Asia Championships in April. 
The incident took place in Sindhu's match at the time when the former world champion had won the first set and was leading 14-11 in the second game. Sindhu was handed a point penalty for time wasting which shifted the momentum on Yamaguchi's side. The game then went to a decider which the current world champion Yamaguchi won.  
Sindhu didn't waste time and had written a letter to the world body and the Asia badminton confederation protesting against the umpiring. 
Apologising to Sindhu, the official said in a letter that there is no rectification at this time and they have taken the necessary steps to avoid a repetition of this human error.
"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We believe it is part of the sport and that it is accepted as such," the letter further reads.
The Hyderabad shuttler compromised with a bronze medal and didn't appear in the medal ceremony to show her dissatisfaction.

Thomas and Uber Cup cancelled due to Covid-19

Top Indian shuttlers&nbsp;had shown their willingness to play the&nbsp;Thomas and Uber Cup and India had even announced a 20-member contingent.

Top Indian shuttlers&nbsp;may have shown their willingness in playing the&nbsp;Thomas and Uber Cup finals but the Badminton World Federation has decided to postpone the tournament until 2021.&nbsp;The decision was made after several teams, including powerhouses South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia, withdrew from the tournament due to the&nbsp;coronavirus pandemic. The prestigious team tournament was scheduled to be held in Aarhus, Denmark from October 3 to 12 and India had even announced a 20-member contingent with PV Sindhu and Kidambi&nbsp;Srikanth&nbsp;as possible leaders of the teams.&nbsp;However, the BWF&nbsp;has decided to go ahead with the Denmark Open due be held from October 13 to 18. But Denmark Masters, scheduled from October 20 has been cancelled.
