From drones to CCTV cameras, Ayodhya was seen covered with multi-layer security as India geared up for the grand Ram Temple ceremony.&nbsp;

The temple town of Ayodhya was covered with tight, multi-layered security on January 21 as the nation geared up for the consecration ceremony of the grand Ram Temple. Apart from police and special forces, the Uttar Pradesh government has also used technologies like night vision devices and CCTV cameras to monitor activities throughout Ayodhya.
A multi-layer security cover is in place in Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, with 10,000 CCTVs keeping an eye on the movement of people and police personnel in plain clothes deployed at the venue.
&nbsp;From Dharampath and Rampath in Ayodhya, which are witnessing a huge influx of devotees, to bylanes of the Hanumangarhi area and Asharfi Bhavan road, policemen can be seen patrolling the streets.
Police said that security along the Saryu River has also been increased with the help of NDRF and SDRF teams. Surveillance drones are also there to keep track of any possible suspicious activity.&nbsp;
"The 'pran pratishtha' ceremony, which will be held on January 22, is going to be a historic event. For this, the Uttar Pradesh Police has made elaborate security arrangements and along with it, security has been ensured for every road along the entire red zone, yellow zone and Ayodhya district," Director General (DG), Law and Order, Prashant Kumar had recently said.
To ensure better security arrangements at the programme venue in Ayodhya, technology is being used on a large scale.
"For this, 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire Ayodhya district. In some of these CCTV cameras, we are using AI-based technology so that we can maintain a strict vigil on commuters," the DG said.
Police personnel with multi-lingual skills will be deployed in plain clothes at the programme venue.
The main ceremony is expected to begin at 12.20 pm and end by 1 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will then address 8,000 guests, including seers and prominent personalities, at the venue. The entire event will be telecast live.

Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration is all set to happen on January 22. This temple is expected to bring a business boom and make Ayodhya a tourist hub. Amidst this, domestic banks are working their way to make the Ram Mandir trust to open bank accounts.
<h3>Ram Mandir Trust bank accounts</h3>
The Economic Times quoted a senior bank official and said that many banks are approaching the Mandir trust as they expect the trust to open a few more accounts due to the large amount of donations.
&ldquo;Many banks including ours have approached the Ram Mandir Trust for their bank accounts as we understand that they will be opening a few more accounts given the donations and payments for various events at the temple, etc, will be part of it", a senior banking officer of a private bank told The Economic Times.
Last week Karnataka Bank opened a new branch in Ayodhya.

Currently the trust has accounts in Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank. Bank of Baroda which is heading the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) for the Ayodhya district has the largest deposits of the trust. SLBC is an apex inter-institutional forum formed to develop banking in every state. BOB has 35 branches in Ayodhya, one of which is very close to the temple premises.
According to the Ram Mandir Trust, as of March 2023 it has a deposit of Rs 3,000 crore out of which more than Rs 1,000 crore is spent on the construction of the mandir.
<h3>Paytm's MOU with Ayodhya Nagar Nigam</h3>
Meanwhile, Fintech firm Paytm has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ayodhya Nagar Nigam to enable the Nagar Nigam facilities with mobile payments using Paytm QR code, soundbox and card machines.
Paytm is aiming to provide a seamless mobile payment services during the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir in the city.
&ldquo;Ahead of the much-anticipated inauguration of Ram Mandir, Paytm is thrilled to collaborate with Ayodhya Nagar Nigam to ensure convenient and secure digital/mobile payment solutions for the millions of devotees visiting the sacred city. Several hotels have announced new projects in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, in the wake of Ram temple. Indian Hotels Company, India&rsquo;s largest hospitality company, has signed two new hotels in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, under the Vivanta and Ginger brands.
The complex with the two hotels, sprawled over five acres, is strategically located at a comfortable driving distance from the upcoming Ayodhya International Airport. The 100-room Vivanta will offer an all-day diner, large banqueting spaces, and recreational facilities including a pool, and health club. The 120-room Ginger will house Qmin, the all-day diner serving local and global cuisines, meeting rooms, and a fitness centre.
OYO, a budget hospitality chain, plans to launch 400 new properties in major spiritual hotspots of the country, including Ayodhya, Puri, Shirdi, Varanasi, Amritsar, Tirupati, Haridwar, and Katra-Vaishno Devi. The planned expansion in major spiritual destinations has been fuelled by a surge in domestic travel and rising interest in spiritual tourism.
In addition, Ayodhya is set to receive its first seven-star hotel that caters exclusively to vegetarians. The hotel will feature 56 fully air-conditioned rooms, each adorned with unique d&eacute;cor, and will house Naivedyam, a pure vegetarian restaurant catering to the discerning palate.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has acquired a piece of land within The Sarayu, an exclusive 7-star mixed-use development located in Ayodhya, developed by Mumbai-based company The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). The land spans approximately 10,000 square feet and holds an estimated value of ₹14.5 crore.

Preparations are in full swing for the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22. The city is witnessing the construction of a grand railway station, inspired by the architecture of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
District Magistrate Nitish Kumar shared, "We are ensuring that the new railway station reflects the grandeur of the Ram Temple, highlighting Ayodhya's historic and mythological significance. The exterior design of the station resembles that of the temple."
He further explained, "The station's interior structure is also being beautifully crafted. It will have a capacity to accommodate 50,000 to 60,000 people at a time. These are just the developments of Phase 1. Anticipating an increase in pilgrims, further work will continue. Planning for Phase 2 is also underway."
