The Enforcement Directorate has been allowed by a special court to question Yes Bank's founder Rana&nbsp;Kapoor&nbsp;in a money&nbsp;laundering case.
The ED will record former Yes Bank chief Rana Kapoor's statement inside Taloja Jail between August 25 and August 28 in connection with the Avantha Group of Companies case.
While the court had allowed ED to probe Kapoor&nbsp;on August 20, the Yes Bank promoter later&nbsp;filed an application to recall the order on the ground of not being heard.&nbsp;Kapoor also pleaded that he should be interrogated only under audio-visual surveillance and in the presence of his legal representatives.
The court has however allowed Rana&nbsp;Kapoor's&nbsp;lawyers to be presented at the time of recording his statements.
Kapoor is currently in judicial custody after being arrested in March 2020 in the alleged Yes Bank fraud case. The ED is probing an alleged transaction between the Avantha Group of Companies' promoter Gautam Thapar and Rana Kapoor and his wife.
The case pertains to a loan taken by Oyster Buildwell Pvt Ltd., a holding company of Avantha Realty Ltd., from&nbsp;Yes Bank, and its alleged misappropriation between 2017 and 2019.

The arrest came on Tuesday late evening in connection with the Yes Bank fraud case.&nbsp;The agency arrested him following searches at 14 locations, including Mumbai and Delhi.
CBI had booked&nbsp; Gautam&nbsp;Thapar and others for causing an alleged loss of over Rs 460 cr to Yes Bank. CBI&nbsp;had also registered a case&nbsp;against Gautam Thapar and Avantha Group alleging criminal conspiracy, cheating, and obtaining illegal gratification against Rana Kapoor, former Managing Director of YES Bank and his kin.The ED started interrogating Thapar on Tuesday morning in connection with the alleged property transaction between Avantha Realty and YES Bank's co-founder Rana Kapoor and his wife.
&ldquo;It was alleged that Rana Kapoor conspired with the others named in the FIR to obtain illegal gratification in the form of a bunglow at Amrita Shergill Marg, New Delhi, by paying only Rs 378 crore (approximately) through Bliss Abode Private Limited, where Rana&rsquo;s wife was one of the two directors,&rdquo; said the CBI FIR registered last year.
