Filmmaker Atlee, who helmed Shah Rukh Khan starrer &lsquo;Jawan&rsquo;, attended the ASTRA Awards in the US in January. He recently took to social media to share a glimpse of the awards presentation.
In his note, Atlee thanked Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for trusting him with the film, which emerged as the star&rsquo;s biggest-ever blockbuster.

Shah Rukh Khan&rsquo;s much-awaited film &lsquo;Jawan&rsquo;, which is scheduled to release in theatres on September 7, has collected ₹1.2 crore in advance bookings in the US alone.
ETimes report stated that the Atlee directorial has sold nearly 9700 tickets across 367 locations in America for the opening day. Of these, 9200 tickets were for the Hindi shows and 360 were for Telugu shows. The Tamil shows accounted for 200 of those booked tickets, the report added.
According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, &lsquo;#Jawan advance bookings are terrific in USA CROSSES $150K mark. Even though the advance bookings are yet to open, several exhibitors and single-screen theatre owners have shared on social media that the film is receiving a tremendous response.

It is speculated that the film will be titled 'Lion'. However, makers are yet to make an official announcement for the film, which is expected to hit the circuits on January 26. Fans are eagerly waiting for SRK's nod and announcement about the project.
It is said that SRK will be essaying a double role in the film, that of a father and a son. The film will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and will also star Sanya Malhotra, Nayanthara and Sunil Grover in lead roles.
