Actor Sanjay Dutt has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Arunachal Pradesh. The announcement was made on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations, marking the 50th year of the naming of Arunachal Pradesh.
The 62-year-old star shared his gratitude on social media along with a photo alongside Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Arunachal Legislative Assembly speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona, and filmmaker Rahul Mittra.
A big media campaign conceptualised by Rahul Mittra Films and shot by ad-filmmaker and drummer of Pentagram, Shiraz Bhattacharya, was also started. The govt ad will feature Sanjay Dutt as a youth icon, nature lover, de-addiction proponent, hoping to boost Arunanchal tourism.
In addition to the promotional films, the actor will also engage with the local youth of the state on a series of initiatives on substance abuse and other key issues that cause concern in the state.
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt has several projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in 'KGF: Chapter 2' as Adheera and will also star opposite actor Ranbir Kapoor in 'Shamshera'.

Lanka: minister climbs tree to address public on coconut shortage

Perched atop a coconut tree, a Sri Lankan Minister held a rather unusual press conference. State Minister of Coconut,&nbsp;Arundika&nbsp;Fernando was addressing a gathering about a shortage of coconuts in the country.&nbsp;And for reasons best known to him, he chose to be seated at around eye level on a harness attached to a coconut tree while clutching a green coconut. And as a News First report noted, it took a great effort for the State Minister's supporters to get him out of the coconut tree climbing contraption.&nbsp;The tree in question was in his coconut estate in Dankotuwa and&nbsp;reportedly&nbsp;he also picked several coconuts.
