Uttarkhand Police on Saturday filed a charge sheet against three persons including Pulkit Arya, son of expelled BJP leader Vinod Arya accused in the murder of Ankita Bhandari.
The body of the 19 year old Bhandari, who worked as a receptionist at a resort run by Pulkit Arya was recovered from a canal in Rishikesh on September 24.
Arya, manager Saurabh Bhaskar, and assistant manager Ankit Gupta were arrested for allegedly pushing her into the canal following an altercation.
She was reported missing for at least six days before the officials found her body.

The driver, who hails from Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh has accused Arya of touching him inappropriately and trying to sodomise him. He had also demanded action against Arya citing a threat to his life.

&nbsp;Former BJP leader Vinod Arya, whose son Pulkit is the main accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, has been charged by his driver with trying to sodomise him.
The driver also accused Arya of beating him up and threatening to kill him if he disclosed the incident to anyone.
A case was registered at Haridwar's Jawalapur police station against Arya on Tuesday night on the basis of a complaint lodged by his driver, SP (city) Swatantra Kumar said.
Arya has been booked under different sections of the IPC including 377 (unnatural offences), 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation), Kumar said.
The driver, who hails from Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh has accused Arya of touching him inappropriately and trying to sodomise him, the SP (city) said.
He had also demanded action against Arya citing a threat to his life.
According to the complaint, Arya used to ask the driver often to press his legs. While the driver was doing so one night recently, Arya attempted to sodomise him.
He somehow managed to extricate himself and escaped to Chutmalpur where he lives. He was recently hit by a bike-borne man.
The matter is being investigated by sub-inspector Sudhanshu Kaushik, the official said.
Vinod Arya is a former BJP leader who was expelled from the party immediately after the name of his son cropped up as the main accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case.
Ankita worked as a receptionist at Vanantara resort near Rishikesh owned by Pulkit who allegedly killed her along with two accomplices.
The trio are in jail.

&nbsp;The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Uttarakhand Police probing the Ankita Bhandari murder is considering conducting a narco analysis test of the three accused in the case, the state police has said.
"If required, the SIT probing the Ankita murder case can conduct a narco test on all the three accused including the main accused Pulkit Arya with the permission of the court," V Murugesan, additional director general of police (ADGP), law and order who is also the Chief spokesperson of Police Headquarters told ANI.
The body of 19-year-old Ankita, who worked as a receptionist at a resort run by Pulkit Arya, the son of expelled BJP leader Vinod Arya was recovered from Chilla canal in Rishikesh on September 24, this year. She was reported missing for at least six days before being found dead.
Pulkit Arya was arrested in the case for allegedly pushing her into the canal following an altercation. Two more people - Ankit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar, were also arrested in the case.
On November 4, the Nainital High Court sought all evidence related to the Ankita Bhandari murder case. The court gave the Special Investigation Team (SIT) time till November 11 to present all the evidence in the court. A single bench of Senior Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra heard the petition filed in this regard.
The petition filed by Ankita's mother Sona Devi and father Virender Singh Bhandari and sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the murder case.
The expelled BJP leader's son was arrested for his alleged involvement in the case. Under fire from the Opposition parties over the incident, the BJP government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami promptly expelled Vinod Arya.
Amid calls from the victim's family that the probe be transferred to the CBI, the Gangster Act was invoked against the three accused in the case, including the main accused Pulkit Arya.
&nbsp;Elaborating on the progress of the probe in the case, earlier, the SIT in-charge DIG P Renuka Devi said the post-mortem report filed by the panel of doctors matched the pieces of evidence collected by the probe team.

The recent murder of a 19-year old receptionist in Uttarakhand allegedly by a BJP leader's son, an issue which led to protests in the northern state, was raised on Tuesday by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in his Bharat Jodo Yatra speech in which he said the incident indicates the BJP and RSS ideology of viewing women as "objects".
Referring to the murder of the young woman -- Ankita Bhandari -- the Congress leader alleged, "A BJP leader who owned a hotel, his son, who ran the hotel, was forcing a young girl to become a prostitute. When she refused to become a prostitute, she was found dead in a lake." "That is the way BJP treats women of India," Gandhi, also the MP from Wayanad, alleged.
"It is the most disgusting, the most shameful example of how the BJP and RSS treat women in this country. The ideology of BJP and RSS views women as objects and second class citizens. India can never succeed with this ideology. A country which cannot learn to respect its women or empower them, can never achieve anything.
"A country which views its women as second class citizens is doomed to failure," he said while addressing a huge crowd -- many of whom were carrying placards saying 'justice for Ankita', 'justice for Indian women' and 'BJP se beti bachao' -- outside the Thachinganadam High School here at end of the day's Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Gandhi asked the crowd and the Congress leaders to maintain one-minute silence in memory of Bhandari and what she had suffered "to send a message to BJP that we are not going to allow you to treat women of India in this manner." "No matter how powerful you are or how much money you have, we are not going to allow you to treat women in this way," he said and at the end of his speech a one-minute silence was maintained at the site.
Bhandari's body was found in the Cheela canal close to Rishikesh on September 24, six days after her parents found her missing from her room.
The incident led to an eight-hour blockade of a key highway in Uttarakhand on September 25 by protestors demanding justice for her.
During the day, the Wayanad MP tweeted, "Prime Minister's slogan - Beti Bachao. BJP's actions - to save rapists. He is the first Prime Minister of India whose legacy will be only speeches, false and hollow speeches. His rule is dedicated to the criminals. Now India will not sit silent." "Every step taken by the padayatris this evening during #BharatJodoYatra was dedicated to the issue of continued atrocities on girls and young women. The latest being the horrific case of Ankita in Uttarakhand. Earlier, there was the travesty of justice in the case of Bilkis Bano," AICC general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said in a tweet.
They also shared photographs, in their tweets, of people walking along with Gandhi holding placards which said -- 'justice for Ankita', 'justice for Indian women' and 'BJP se beti bachao'.
The Congress party also tweeted, "The murder of a daughter of India by BJP leader's son is intolerable and unacceptable. We walk in protest at the #BharatJodoYatra and demand in a united voice that #WeWantJusticeForAnkita." Later in the evening, in his speech, Gandhi referred to the Ankita Bhandari case and alleged that she was killed by her employer as she refused to accede to his demands to become a prostitute.
He also accused Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of ensuring destruction of evidence in the case by ordering demolition of the hotel where the young woman worked.
Gandhi said that India's biggest strength was its women and if we cannot respect them, how can we talk of the future of the country.
He further attacked BJP, alleging that the "truth of BJP ideology" was that they respect only power.
"They respect nothing except power. They will do anything to get to power. Once they have power, they will do anything to stay in power. The result is that a young girl is dead in Uttarakhand," he said.
The yatra, on its 20th day, entered Malappuram district of Kerala on Tuesday with hundreds of party workers and supporters walking alongside Rahul Gandhi.
The yatra commenced from Pulamanthole junction in the morning and ended at Thachinganadam High School here.
The Congress' 3,570 km and 150-day long foot march started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7 and will conclude in Jammu and Kashmir.
The yatra, which entered Kerala on September 10, will go through the state covering 450 km, touching seven districts before entering Karnataka on October 1.

The body of Ankita Bhandari who worked in an Uttarakhand resort was recovered from a canal on Saturday, police said as the ruling BJP swung into action to expel its leader whose son, the main accused, owned the property and the administration began demolishing the structure.
Outrage over the killing of the 19-year-old, who worked as a receptionist in the Vanantara resort in Pauri district's Yamkeshwar block owned by Haridwar BJP leader Vinod Arya's son Pulkit Arya, escalated as details emerged of her trauma in the days preceding her death.
Violent protests erupted in areas surrounding the resort with locals breaking glass panes and some trying to torch a pickle factory in its premises. However, the fire did not spread much as the weather was cloudy.
Bhandari had been under pressure from Pulkit Arya -- who was arrested on Friday with resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta and sent to 14 days judicial custody -- to provide “special services” to guests, Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said.
This had been gleaned from her chat with a friend, he said.

The last rites were performed amid heavy security and a huge crowd of locals at the NIT ghat in Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal. 
Bhandari’s family refused to perform her last rites earlier and demanded that her autopsy report be made public. The family even questioned the government's intention of demolishing the resort which had the evidence related to Bhandari’s case. However, the family agreed to cremate the body after administration's intervention 
The gruesome murder of Ankita Bhandari had sparked massive outrage among locals in Uttarakhand. On Sunday, the locals blocked the Srinagar-Kedarnath highway in protest and despite requests from the administration and the family, the protesters refused to move.  
The initial post-mortem report of the female receptionist stated that she died due to drowning and that her body bore signs of injury caused by blunt force. 
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami again assured the family of harshest action on the culprits.

The details of injuries and other findings will be given in the final report, said the draft.
Ankita's father and brother on Sunday refused to perform her last rites until they get the final postmortem report.
"I am not satisfied with the provisional postmortem report. Her last rites will not be performed until we get the final detailed report," said her father Virendra Singh Bhandari.
Her brother Ajay Singh Bhandari said the provisional report is lacking in detail.
They also spoke against the demolition exercise carried out at the resort where she was working as a receptioninst. "It may be an attempt to destroy evidence," Ajay said.

The Bhartiya Janata Party on Saturday expelled Vinod Arya and Ankit Arya - father and brother of key accused Pulkit Arya in the Ankita Bhandari murder case - from the party with immediate effect.
The angry locals, who have been protesting and demanding justice for the murdered 19-year-old female receptionist set Vanatara resort owned by Arya on fire earlier in the day. The resort was partially demolished on Friday evening. They also attacked BJP MLA Renu Bisht's car and vandalised it. The MLA was escorted away by Police. 
Ankita Bhandari, who started working at the resort on August 28 went missing a few days ago. A missing report was filed by Bhandari’s family on Monday. Reportedly Bhandari accompanied Arya and other two resort staff to Rishikesh on Sept 18.  
After a probe was launched by cops, Arya misled the search team, police said. However, on Friday the key accused confessed to his crime and revealed details. 
Bhandari’s body was recovered from Cheela canal near Rishikesh on Saturday where the accused had dumped it after killing her.

The Bhartiya Janata Party on Saturday expelled Vinod Arya and Ankit Arya - father and brother of key accused Pulkit Arya in the Ankita Bhandari murder case - from the party with immediate effect.
The angry locals, who have been protesting and demanding justice for the murdered 19-year-old female receptionist set Vanatara resort owned by Arya on fire earlier in the day. The resort was partially demolished on Friday evening. They also attacked BJP MLA Renu Bisht's car and vandalised it. The MLA was escorted away by Police.&nbsp;
Ankita Bhandari, who started working at the resort on August 28 went missing a few days ago. A missing report was filed by Bhandari&rsquo;s family on Monday. Reportedly Bhandari accompanied Arya and other two resort staff to Rishikesh on Sept 18. &nbsp;
After a probe was launched by cops, Arya misled the search team, police said. However, on Friday the key accused confessed to his crime and revealed details.&nbsp;

The development in the case was shared by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a tweet, who said he was pained by the incident.
Pulkit Arya, the key accused in the case and the owner of the resort where the victim worked, is a son of Vinod Arya, a BJP leader from Haridwar.
The politician was formerly a chairman of the Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board.
An SIT led by DIG police P Renuka Devi has been set up to conduct a speedy probe into the killing of the 19-year-old woman.
The resort, built illegally in the Yamkeshwar block of Pauri district by the BJP leader's son, was demolished late Friday night, Dhami said.
Those who have committed the heinous crime will not be spared, he said.
Pulkit Arya, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar, and assistant manager Ankit Gupta were arrested on Friday after they confessed to have killed the girl and thrown her body into Cheela canal.
Initially, they tried to mislead the police, but when interrogated sternly they confessed to the crime, Pauri ASP Shekhar Chandra Suyal had said on Friday.
