Celebrating TDP-Janasena-BJP's 2024 victory in Andhra Pradesh, CM Naidu declared June 4 as 'Praja Teerpu Dinam', marking a new era with promises of progressive policies and improved governance.

Andhra Pradesh's CM Naidu declared June 4 as 'Praja Teerpu Dinam', celebrating the TDP-Janasena-BJP's 2024 election victory over YSRCP, securing 164 seats. Naidu pledged new initiatives for development, peace, and progress.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday declared June 4 as 'Praja Teerpu Dinam' (people's verdict day), marking one year anniversary of both the defeat of the previous YSRCP government and the announcement of 2024 election results.
The TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance won 164 seats in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, decisively defeating the YSRCP to form the new government.
"June 4 is a historic day when the people's revolution ended oppressive rule (erstwhile YSRCP government) and restored democracy and peace in Andhra Pradesh," Naidu said in a post on X.
The CM thanked party workers and leaders who tirelessly fought to bring welfare, development, and good governance to the people.
The TDP supremo vowed to fulfill public aspirations by implementing focused welfare programmes and accelerating development over the next four years of governance.
He urged citizens to remain united and support the coalition's efforts, promising progress, peace, and prosperity for Andhra Pradesh's future generations.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that on June 4, 2024, people, by utilising their ballots, brought to an end five years of 'anarchic rule' and shattered feudal chains.
Echoing Naidu, Kalyan reflected on one year of NDA coalition's historic win. He emphasised themes of public awakening, preservation of democratic principles, while highlighting Janasena party&rsquo;s 100 percent strike rate in the elections.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was on Saturday injured after stones were pelted by unknown persons during the YSRCP chief&rsquo;s election campaign in Vijayawada, his office said.
The chief minister suffered a small cut on the left side of his temple above the eye during his &lsquo;Memanta Siddham&rsquo; (we are all ready) election canvassing bus tour.
&ldquo;The stone struck the CM while he was acknowledging the crowds as part of his bus tour at Vivekananda School Centre in Singh Nagar, Vijayawada,&rdquo; said a statement from the Chief Minister&rsquo;s Office (CMO).
The stone hit Reddy at a very high velocity and officials are suspecting that it could have been launched from a catapult, prompting the people standing around him atop the bus to wipe his forehead with a handkerchief initially.
Immediately, the chief minister was administered first aid inside the bus by a doctor.
Reddy was seen being attended to by a doctor inside the bus and also grimacing from pain. However, unfazed by the stone pelting, he resumed his tour in the city, where he has been canvassing for nearly four hours.
Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders alleged that the TDP was behind this &ldquo;attack&rdquo;.
Reddy has embarked on a 21-day election campaign bus tour from Idupulupaya in Kadapa district to Icchapuram in Srikakulam district.
Elections for the 175-member Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh are scheduled on May 13 and the counting of votes is slated for June 4.&nbsp;

Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy passed away Monday morning from a heart attack. He was admitted to the Apollo Hospital at Hyderabad early morning after a complaint of pain in the chest.
Reddy, 50, was a two-time MLA from the Atmakur Assembly constituency in the Nellore district. He also held the Information Technology portfolio. He is the son of former MP Rajamohan Reddy. The Indian Express reported that doctors suspect that he was suffering from post-Covid complications after he tested positive last April.
