The anti-terror operation in India&rsquo;s Anantnag has ended after a week, with at least two confirmed terrorists killed in the gunfight. Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Uzair Khan, whose body has been recovered, was one of two terrorists killed in the operation.
Kashmir police officials that the <a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/charred-body-found-during-anantnag-anti-terror-operations-pti-1695026680193">body of another terrorist </a>has been located, but is yet to be retrieved.&nbsp;
While the gunfight may have concluded, ADGP Vijay Kumar said the search operation will continue. Warning people against going to the area, Kumar said there may be &ldquo;unexploded shells which will be recovered and destroyed.&rdquo;
Four security personnel, including two army officers and a police officer, died in the operation.
The ADGP said security forces had reports that two to three terrorists were there, news agency PTI reported.

"There is a possibility that the third dead body may be somewhere. It will be known after the search is complete," he said.

According to Singh's family, he had received a Sena medal last year.&nbsp;

The Indian Army has said that the operations against terrorists hiding in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir is still ongoing. Two-three terrorists are believed to hiding in the area.&nbsp;
'The security forces including the Army and local police are being provided support by small quadcopters and larger drones to keep an eye on the entire area,' the army said.&nbsp;

Khan is a self-styled operational commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit and had crossed over to Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the early 1990s and is operating from there, they said.

According to authorities, Ghulam Nabi Khan alias Amir Khan had a wall built on encroached land as an extension to his house in Liver Pahalgam in the south Kashmir district.

He said as the forces were conducting searches in the area, the ultras fired upon them.
The forces retaliated, ensuing an encounter, the official said.
In the exchange of firing, two terrorists were killed on Monday morning, he said, adding the identity and group affiliation of the slain ultras was being ascertained.
