According to the police, a 24/25-year-old man entered the enclosed area in the Golden Temple while devotees were offering prayed and tried to touch the sword kept next to the Guru Granth Sahib. 
The man was overpowered by the devotees and beaten to death. 
DCP Parminder Singh Bhandal confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.

Touched by an emotional video of an elderly woman running a juice stall in Amritsar, people have come forward on social media to do their bit for her.
In the video which has now gone viral, an 80-year-old woman can be seen running a juice stall to earn a living for herself. Her stall is reportedly located in Rani Da Bagh, near Uppal Neuro Hospital.
The video was shared by Gaurav Wasan, the Youtuber who was also responsible for bringing forward the story of Baba Ka Dhaba.Within hours of being shared on social media, the video garnered thousands of likes and retweets.

NIA to attach assets of 2 top Khalistani terrorists

PTI,&nbsp;New Delhi: The NIA will attach immovable properties of designated terrorists Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a US-based member of the banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), and Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Canada-based chief of Khalistan Tiger Force, an official said on Tuesday.
According to an official of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the Government of India, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 51A of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, has ordered for the attachment of the immovable properties of Pannun in Amritsar and Nijjar in Jalandhar.
In July this year, Pannun and Nijjar were declared as designated terrorists under the provisions of the UAPA Act, along with seven other individuals.
Both SFJ and Khalistan Tiger Force are separatist Khalistani outfits.
The NIA is investigating a case relating to a concerted campaign launched by secessionist organisation SFJ under the banner of 'Sikh Referendum 2020' for creation of a so-called 'Khalistan'. PTI CPS SKL SMN
