Hours after TMC MP Nusrat Jahan released a statement on her separation with husband&nbsp;Nikhil Jain saying her marriage was not valid in India, BJP leader Amit Malviya on Thursday questioned if she lied about her marital status on the floor of the Parliament.
Malviya pointed out in a tweet that she is an elected representative and said on record in the Parliament that she is married to Nikhil Jain.
Nusrat Jahan had tied the knot with Nikhil Jain at a destination wedding ceremony in Turkey in 2019. She claimed in her statement that since it was an interfaith marriage, it required validation under the Special Marriage Act in India, which did not happen.

NCW: remove posts where victim's picture has been used

National Commission of Women (NCW) has taken&nbsp;suo moto cognizance of Hathras case victim's picture being used during various protests. The NCW has also sought explanation from BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya, Congress leader Digvijay Singh and actress Swara Bhasker for allegedly revealing the identity of Hathras victim on Twitter. The NCW said it has come across several Twitter posts wherein the picture of the victim of the alleged gang rape incident was used.The commission has also directed them to immediately remove these posts and refrain from sharing such posts in future.
