The new suggested rules impose a blanket ban on &lsquo;flash sale&rsquo; of goods and services conducted by e-commerce companies in the country. The MCA defines flash sale as a sale event organised by e-commerce entities at significantly reduced prices and high discounts for a predetermined period. E-commerce firms are also expected to establish adequate redressal mechanisms and appoint a Chief Compliance Officer, the MCA proposed as a part of the new rules.
These rules would impact a large swathe of players, especially companies like Flipkart and Amazon. The Department of Consumer Affairs has&nbsp;sought feedback&nbsp;from the public on the proposed changes by July 6.&nbsp;

PC maker Lenovo has added a new laptop to its ThinkBook series with dual screens in India. The ThinkBook Plus features a 13.3-inch full-HD main display with screen rotation and anti-glare.
But the major highlight of the laptop is its 10.8-inch E-Ink monochromatic cover display that allows users to sketch or to take quick notes with the integrated Lenovo Precision Pen.
The device is powered by Intel&rsquo;s 10th generation Core i5 or i7 processor and comes with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM paired with up to 512GB SSD along with a 32GB Intel Optane Memory H10. It also features Harmon Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio support, Alexa voice assistant as well as 10 hours of battery life.
