&nbsp;A section of Alliance Air pilots, who were on strike for the last two days, resumed work on Wednesday, according to a senior airline official.
On Monday and Tuesday, around 70-80 pilots went on strike to protest against non-restoration of salaries to the pre-COVID level and non-payment of allowances, among other issues.
Alliance Air CEO Vineet Sood informed that pilots have come back to work.
He also said that negotiations are going on with the pilots regarding the issues raised by them. &nbsp;On Tuesday, sources said the airline has issued notices to the striking pilots and has also asked them to join back for duty.
State-owned Alliance Air, which was earlier part of the now-privatised Air India, has around 200 pilots and operates about 130 flights per day.
A source had said that at least 70 flights were affected due to the strike by the pilots on Tuesday

The govt is looking to divest Alliance Air &amp; Air India Engineering services simultaneously. Civil aviation secretary Rajiv Bansal said that the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) will invite expressions of interest from bidders soon

The government is preparing to privatise the low cost carrier Alliance air and India's largest MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) player Air India Engineering services, simultaneously.&nbsp;
"The process of disinvestment of both the companies will be done simultaneously. Expressions of interest (EoIs) will be invited by the government in due course", Rajiv Bansal, civil aviation secretary said while speaking at the CAPA India Aviation Summit.&nbsp;
Bansal mentioned that the first and second steps of holding roadshows for the divestment of AIESL and the second step of approval from the group of ministers are completed. The final approval from the Alternative Mechanism for Disinvestment, a top ministerial panel, is awaited following which the expressions of interest will be invited, as per a report by Financial Express&nbsp;
AIESL, AIASL, and AAAL were subsidiaries of Air India when the government owned it. However, they were not part of Air India's privatisation. The Tata group took control of Air India from the government in January last year.
The divestment of Alliance Air has been in the works since the middle of last year but there hasn&rsquo;t been any formal EOI so far.

Alliance Air pilot detained by IAF for filming in prohibited areas

Putting out a statement, Alliance Airline said "Safety for Alliance Air is paramount and such occurrences are viewed seriously by Alliance Air. The said pilot has been de-rostered pending investigation.

An Alliance Air pilot was briefly detained by the Indian Air Force security personnel for taking pictures and videos of prohibited area at Rajasthan's Uttarlai Airport station.
Following the incident, the pilot has been de-rostered by the Airline, as per the ANI. Putting out a statement, Alliance Airline said "Safety for Alliance Air is paramount and such occurrences are viewed seriously by Alliance Air. The said pilot has been de-rostered pending investigation. We ensure that all required corrective actions are in place," stated the Alliance airline.
Alliance Air operated a charter flight from Delhi to Uttarlai Air Force Station on 9 January. After landing, the pilot clicked several pictures and made videos following which the IAF detained him.

For the first time ever, a woman has become the CEO of an Indian carrier, with the government appointing Harpreet A De Singh as the CEO of Air India&rsquo;s regional subsidiary Alliance Air. According to a&nbsp;report in Times of India, Air India&nbsp;CMD Rajiv Bansal issued an order on Friday, saying Singh&nbsp;will hold the charge of Alliance Air CEO post till further orders.&nbsp;Singh is currently Air India&rsquo;s executive director.

As per Times of India, Harpreet Singh was the first woman pilot to be selected by Air India in 1988. Though she could not fly due to health reasons, she has been very active in the area of flight safety.&nbsp;
Singh&nbsp;will hold the charge of Alliance Air CEO post till further orders.&nbsp;Singh is currently Air India&rsquo;s executive director.
In place of her, the new ED of AI will now be Captain Nivedita Bhasin, one of the airline's most senior commanders currently flying Boeing 787 Dreamliner
