A resident of Baramulla, 20-year-old Samaniya Bhat, also known as RJ Samaniya, is the first female radio jockey of north Kashmir and the youngest radio jockey from the valley.
Samaniya&nbsp;did her graduation in journalism and mass communication a completed it in April 2021. 
Before joining Radio Chinar 90.4 FM, Samaniya worked with All India Radio (AIR) and gained experience in the field.
At Radio Chinar 90.4 FM, RJ Samaniya produces a programme called, 'Halla bol with RJ Samaniya', in which she engages with the people. 
Samaniya in an interview with ANI said that journalism was her passion from childhood and she never thought that one day shoul could be a radio jockey.

The Bihar govt has issued strict guidelines for political rallies in the run-up to Assembly polls amid the Covid pandemic. Masks will be mandatory at at all indoor and outdoor rallies along with a cap of 200 people in closed halls and six feet of social distancing. Leaders have been asked to avoid hugging, shaking hands and organisers have been asked to ensure availability of paper napkins and proper santisation of the venues. The Election Commission, meanwhile, doubled the broadcast time allotted to recognised political parties in Bihar on Doordarshan and All India Radio for "non-contact based" campaign.
