Akshay Kumar starrer &lsquo;OMG 2&rsquo; releases on Netflix on October 8. Now, in an interview with India Today, Akshay opened up about the OTT release of the film and reacted to claims about the CBFC which thought 'it was an adult film.'
Akshay Kumar said, &lsquo;I don't want to fight. I have no idea about the rules. I didn't get into the rulebook. If they thought it was an adult film, then... did you all feel it is an adult film? Whoever we have shown the film to, they loved it. I made it for youngsters and I'm happy it is coming on Netflix and I'm happy about it. That's it. The important thing is that people should know about it.&rsquo;
After weeks of speculations over whether or not the film will receive a U/A certificate, the film was awarded an A certificate with 27 cuts by the CBFC.
Citing an example of how it's the collective thought process that needs to change, Akshay said, &lsquo;I did a film on sanitary pads at a time when nobody would dare to hold a sanitary pad in their hand, people weren't ready to touch it. I was standing with someone, I won't name them, I was the chief guest at an event. That person came to me and whispered in my ears not to give a pad to him because &lsquo;Acchha nahi lagta&rsquo; (doesn't look good), this is the kind of thinking.&rsquo;

&lsquo;OMG 2&rsquo; revolves around the topic of sex education among the young generation, while highlighting prevailing misinformation.
The film stars Akshay Kumar as a messenger of Lord Shiva, while Pankaj Tripathi plays a devotee of Lord Shiva named Kanti Sharan Mudgal, and Yami Gautam essays the part of a lawyer.
&lsquo;OMG 2&rsquo; was released in theatres on August 11, to a positive response from critics and performed well at the box office.

Actor Akshay Kumar was spotted playing volleyball with his &lsquo;Bade Miyan Chote Miyan&rsquo; co-star Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan at his Juhu residence recently.
The trio was unbothered by the paparazzi present at the gate and were seen enjoying the game to the fullest. The actors were joined by some of their friends as well.
Akshay Kumar looked handsome in a violet sweatshirt paired with black sports shots and matching game accessories.
Tiger Shroff was seen flaunting his abs in a shirt-less look, and opted for just a pair of black trousers.
Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, was seen in a grey t-shirt, which he paired with orange Bermuda shorts.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in the upcoming satirical comedy-drama &lsquo;OMG 2&rsquo;, which releases in theatres on August 11.
He has several projects lined-up including &lsquo;Bade Miyan Chote Miyan&rsquo;, untitled &lsquo;Soorarai Pottru&rsquo; remake, &lsquo;The Great Indian Rescue&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Hera Pheri 3&rsquo;.
Tiger Shroff will be teaming up with Akshay for Ali Abbas Zafar directorial and he also has &lsquo;Ganapath&rsquo;, the new installment of Rohit Shetty's COP universe, and &lsquo;Baaghi 4&rsquo; in his kitty.
Varun Dhawan was last seen in &lsquo;Bawaal&rsquo; with Janhvi Kapoor. He is now set to make his OTT debut with the spy thriller series &lsquo;Citadel&rsquo;.
The shooting of the project, which is helmed by Raj and DK, was wrapped up recently. He will also team up with Jawan director Atlee, for an upcoming commercial entertainer.
