Asserting that Modi was targetting Muslims, Owaisi said such statements do not augur well from the prime minister of the country.

AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's infiltrator remarks during a campaign rally. Modi had said that if Congress came to power, it would redistribute the wealth to infiltrators and those who have more children.
Asserting that Modi was targetting Muslims, Owaisi said such statements do not augur well from the prime minister of the country.
"My brother Assad and I are often accused of giving inflammatory remarks. Then, what should we make of Modi's remarks? Is it right? Are we (Muslims) infiltrators? Do we produce more children? Do you know how many siblings Atal Bihari Vajpayee had... It is said Muslims have more children and Vajpayee and his siblings were 7 in number... Yogi Adityanath and his siblings are 7 in number... Amit Shah and his siblings are also 7 in number. Narendra Modi and his siblings are 6 in number."&nbsp;
"We are those who have given the Taj Mahal, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Char Minar to this nation. We have decorated this nation. We are not infiltrators. We belong to this nation. This nation is ours and will be ours," he said.

Akbaruddin Owaisi threatens cop during election rally in Telangana

AIMIM leader Akbarduddin Owaisi has sparked a controversy after allegedly threatening a police officer during an election rally in Telangana's Hyderabad.
The police officer asked Owaisi to conclude his speech on time to follow the Model Code of Conduct.&nbsp;
An angered Owaisi told the police officer to leave the stage and told him that he still had 5 minutes to finish his speech.&nbsp;
He added that no one can stop him from finishing his speech.&nbsp;
The Model Code of Conduct allows election rallies only till 10 pm.&nbsp;
Owaisi threatened the police officer and said that he would end up running if signals the crowd present at the rally.&nbsp;
'Do you think that after facing knives and bullets, I have become weak? There is still a lot of courage in me. I still have 5 minutes and I will speak for these 5 minutes. No one can stop me. Isn't it right? If I give a signal then you'll have to run, shall we make him run?' Owaisi said.&nbsp;
Akbaruddin Owaisi, the brother of AIMIM chief Asaduddin, is contesting Telangana assembly elections from Hyderabad's Chandrayangutta.&nbsp;

The statement was made in reaction to AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi visiting the tomb of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Fadnavis had said, "Asaduddin Owaisi visited Aurangzeb's grave and paid tribute. And all you did was watch. You should be ashamed of yourself. You should drown in a handful of water. Owaisi, listen to me - even a dog will not urinate on Aurangzeb's identity. Saffron flags will wave across India."
The Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Mattu fired a veiled criticism at Fadnavis, saying, "May Allah (SWT)’s mercy and blessings be upon Hafiz-e-Quran, Shahenshah Hazrat Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad Aurangzeb (R.A.) and his grave."
Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar had also criticised Owaisi.He had said, "These people know the history of Maharashtra and India. What Aurangzeb did in his era is also known. It is not right for someone from outside Maharashtra to come to the state and create a new issue."
The Shiv Sena also objected to Owaisi's actions, calling it a bid to stoke communal tension in Maharashtra.
The NCP, Shiv Sena, and Congress are in power in Maharashta.
