23-year-old Gee was among the 13 US troops killed in the suicide bombing at the Kabul airport.  
Gee cradled a baby in her arms and had posted the photo on Instagram where she wrote that she loved her job.  The photo was later picked up by the Pentagon and shared on its Twitter account.
She last posted on Instagram on August 22 — a photo showing her armed and watching over a long line of evacuees as they boarded an airplane to flee Kabul at night.

The verbal decree issued by Taliban's Vice and Virtue ministry has instructed municipal bodies to cancel licences of women's beauty saloons.&nbsp;
The ban is likely to impact many households in Afghanistan, especially those where women are the sole breadwinners in their families.

The letter, confirmed by economy ministry spokesperson Abdulrahman Habib, said the female employees were not allowed to work until further notice

In the latest crackdown on women's freedom, Taliban has ordered all local and foreign NGOs to stop female employees from coming to work.
According to Reuters, a letter by the country's economy ministry says female employees are prohibited to work until further notice because some had not adhered to the administration's interpretation of Islamic dresscode for women.&nbsp;
It comes days after the Taliban ordered universities to close to women, prompting strong global condemnation and sparking some protests and heavy criticism inside Afghanistan.
Earlier, Associated Press reported that Taliban security forces used a water cannon to disperse women protesting the ban on university education. Afghan women have been demonstrating in major cities against the ban, a rare sign of protest since the Taliban seized power last year.&nbsp;

Pakistan formally informed India to use its territory to transportation of 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat and life-saving drugs to Afghanistan.
Calling it a goodwill gesture for their Afghan &ldquo;brothers&rdquo;, Pakistan said this will be done on an &ldquo;exceptional basis&rdquo; only for &ldquo;humanitarian purposes&rdquo;.
Currently, Pakistan only allows Afghanistan to export goods to India. No other two-way trade through the border crossing is allowed.
Last month, India had announced that it would send 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan as humanitarian assistance. It had requested Pakistan to allow the food grains to be transported via the Wagah border.
Afghanistan&rsquo;s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi had also requested Prime Minister Khan to allow India to transport wheat via Pakistan.
However, following a period of cold relationship between New Delhi and Islamabad over the Kashmir issue, Pakistan had blocked India&rsquo;s efforts to provide wheat to the Afghan people.

Pakistan on Wednesday said it has formally informed India about its decision to allow the transportation of an Indian humanitarian shipment of 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat and life saving drugs to neighbouring Afghanistan through its territory on an "exceptional basis for humanitarian purposes".
Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Monday that his government will allow India to send humanitarian shipment of wheat to Afghanistan through its territory after finalisation of the transit modalities.
"The decision of the government of Pakistan to this effect was formally conveyed to the Charge d&rsquo; Affaires of India at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement here.
It said as a goodwill gesture towards the brotherly Afghan people, Pakistan decided to allow the transportation of 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat and life-saving medicines from India.
Currently, Pakistan only allows Afghanistan to export goods to India but doesn&rsquo;t allow any other two-way trade through the border crossing.
The FO said that wheat and medicines to Afghanistan would be allowed to enter through &ldquo;Wagah Border on an exceptional basis for humanitarian purposes&rdquo;.
Last month, India announced 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat for Afghanistan as humanitarian assistance and requested Pakistan to ship the food grain via the Wagah border.
Afghanistan&rsquo;s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi had also requested Prime Minister Khan to allow India to transport wheat via Pakistan, suggesting that the Taliban government was willing to accept the humanitarian assistance from India.
India has contributed to the humanitarian requirements of the Afghan people. This included providing more than 1 million metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan over the past decade.
Last year too India assisted Afghanistan with 75,000 metric tonnes of wheat, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said at the United Nations High-Level Meeting on the Humanitarian situation in Afghanistan in September.
However, Pakistan had blocked India's efforts to provide wheat to the Afghan people, amidst the chill in relations between New Delhi and Islamabad over the Kashmir issue.
Prime Minister Khan announced his decision to allow India to send the humanitarian shipment of wheat to Afghanistan through Pakistan&rsquo;s territory while chairing the first Apex Committee meeting of the newly established Afghanistan Inter-ministerial Coordination Cell (AICC) in Islamabad Monday.
He also took the opportunity to remind the international community of the collective responsibility to support Afghanistan to avoid a humanitarian crisis. PTI&nbsp;

As the Islamist movement unveiled its interim government in September after U.S.-led forces withdrew, the mysterious Akhundzada retained the role he has held since 2016 of the supreme leader, the ultimate authority over the group's political, religious, and military affairs.
