There has been a growing clamour around the Afghanistan Cricket Board after Cricket Australia decided to pull out from the ODI series against the Blue Tigers. After CA raised its concerns around the status of women cricketers in the Taliban-ruled nation, ICC has also now taken notice of the Afghanistan Cricket Board's failure to raise a women's team. 'We want to see men and women safely playing cricket in Afghanistan and have consistently held the view that the best way to achieve this is by supporting the board', an ICC official told Cricbuzz. Despite several male cricketers having taken a clear stand against CA's decision, ICC chose to raise its concerns about the recent developments in Afghanistan, especially with regard to the women and the women cricketers.
Mohd Nabi, former captain of Afghanistan had also questioned the Australian board's move. 'Why did they play against us at World Cup, just for good NRR? We will see if they boycott us in upcoming ICC tournaments', he told Cricbuzz.&nbsp; Cricket Australia withdrew from the ODI series in March, citing the Taliban's restrictions on the freedom of women &amp; girls in Afghanistan.

The department and designation of officials accused of corruption would be revealed by the ACB.

An order passed by the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on 4 January 2023 has sparked a political war of words in the state.
The order reportedly says that names and photographs of corrupt officials "trapped" through decoy operations cannot be made public till they have been convicted by a court of law. However, their department and designation would be revealed by the ACB.
The Opposition BJP accused the Congress government of shielding the corrupt. Rajendra Rathore, the deputy Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly made the allegation against the Ashok Gehlot government.
BJP's state unit chief Satish Poonia tweeted, "Congress for the corrupt, the corrupt for Congress." The ruling party did not immediately respond, as per reports.

The Delhi Police has arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan’s close aide Hamid Ali after a raid by anti-corruption branch, officials on Saturday said.
The ACB had on Friday arrested Khan after conducting raids at four premises in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Waqf Board recruitment.
Ali's premise was one of the locations raided by the ACB on Friday.
According to officials, one unlicensed weapon, Rs 12 lakh in cash, and some cartridges were recovered from there.
Ali has been arrested by the southeast district police under Arms Act.
The anti-corruption agency seized Rs 24 lakh in cash and two unlicensed weapons in all in raids at four locations.
The ACB had summoned Khan in a case pertaining to alleged financial misappropriation and other irregularities in the functioning of the Delhi Waqf Board, which Khan heads as its chairman.
An FIR was already registered in connection with the alleged wrongdoing in the board.
As alleged in the FIR, the ACB's Friday statement said, Khan, while working as chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board, illegally recruited 32 people violating all norms and government guidelines and engaged in corruption and favouritism.
The then CEO of Delhi Waqf Board had clearly given a statement and issued a memorandum against the illegal recruitment, the statement had said.
Two FIRs have been registered by the ACB in southeast district pertaining to recovery of illegal weapons.

NCP leader and Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Chhagan Bhujbal was discharged by a special court on Thursday in the Maharashtra Sadan case being probed by the state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). The case relates to a 2005-2006 deal that the NCP leader allegedly gave to the firm, when he was the PWD minister.
Bhujbal&rsquo;s&nbsp;son&nbsp;Pankaj, nephew Sameer and five others were also cleared of all charges by the court.
ACB had filed a case back in 2015 alleging the minister had favoured &nbsp;firm for a project on land owned by the Regional Transport Office. According to the ACB, the contractors had &lsquo;earned 80 per cent profit&rsquo; in the construction of Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi, while as per the government circular, such contractors were entitled to &lsquo;only 20 per cent gain&rsquo;.
Bhujbal, in his plea argued that there was no evidence of any irregularities or corruption by him. He further said that the decision to hand over the project to the firm was taken by the Cabinet Infrastructure Committee in a meeting headed by the then Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. It was submitted that he had no role in granting the developer the project as it was already selected way back in 1998
