ABVP activists barged into the university and assaulted the Vice Chancellor and other top officials before police stepped in.&nbsp;

&nbsp; Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists chased and beat up the vice chancellor and the registrar of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University in Gorakhpur. The saffron cadre which was protesting outside the university over alleged irregularities in the varsity, barged into the campus on July 21 and assaulted police personnel who had arrived to control the mob.&nbsp; &nbsp; Dainik Bhaskar reported that members of the ABVP, which is the student organisation of the Bharatiya Janata Party, also vandalised the chamber of the vice-chancellor. The police had to resort to a lathi-charge to control the situation. Vice-chancellor Rajesh Singh and officiating registrar Ajay Singh, and some policemen were injured in the ruckus. As many as 10 ABVP workers were detained.&nbsp;

ABVP accused SFI members of attacking tribal students affiliated with the right-wing outfit.

Violence was reported from the University of Hyderabad on 25 February 2023.
Students affiliated with RSS' student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), and Left's Students' Federation of India (SFI) reportedly clashed at the university. Fighting occurred in relation to the students' union elections, according to the news agency ANI.
ABVP accused SFI members of attacking tribal students affiliated with the right-wing outfit. An India Today report said that clashes broke out over putting up of posters of the elections.
Students' union elections were held at Hyderabad university on 24 February 2023 after a gap of 2 years due to Covid.

RSS' student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad claimed that a portrait of historical Maratha ruler Shivaji was vandalised on his birth anniversary. The ABVP blamed students affiliated to Left groups.
In response, the JNU Students' Union claimed that ABVP members attacked students after they took out a march over a recent death at IIT Bombay. The protestors were seeking justice for Darshan Solanki, a Scheduled Caste student who allegedly committed suicide after facing discrimination.
ABVP denied the allegation.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi is once again in the eye of a storm with some students alleging that they were attacked with stones.
The alleged incident occurred when some students tried to hold a screening on 24 January 2023 of a BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 2002 Gujarat riots, despite denial of permission by the university administration.
Some students had gathered at the JNU students' union office to watch the documentary when a power outage occurred. Subsequently, they gathered at a cafeteria to watch the BBC series on mobile phones and laptops.
Here, stones were pelted allegedly by members of the ABVP, the RSS' student wing. The students then marched to the Vasant Kunj police station to lodge a complaint over the incident.

The Hindu Sena put up posters saying 'Bhagwa (saffron) JNU' near the gates of the university. The posters were accompanied by a plethora of saffron scarves. The posters and saffron scarves covered JNU's vicinity, including autorickshaws plying in the area.
In a video message, Hindu Sena's vice president "warned" those opposed to 'bhagwa' or saffron. Without listing specific instances, the Hindu Sena accused elements at JNU of trying to insult 'Saffron'. Srujit Yadav said, "At the Jawaharlal Nehru University, those opposed to Saffron have been insulting it. Hindu Sena warns them and asks them to mend their ways. They should stop trying to insult Saffron. We respect you, we respect all religions, we respect all ideologies. But the way in which Saffron is being insulted in JNU will not be tolerated by Hindu Sena. We can take any strong action over this."
Police reportedly said that the posters were promptly removed due to the recent violence, and appropriate legal action is being taken.

In 2013, in a gruesome incident an undergraduage student of the School of Languages, Literature and Cultural Studies, hit his female friend with an axe on the head. Immediately after the boy, who was carrying a country made gun with him, nicked himself on the neck. The boy died, the girl survived. 
On February 09, 2016 a gathering was organised by certain left student organisations. The public meeting was held on the day of Afzal Guru's hanging in 2003. ABVP students protested against the event, and clashes ensued. A group of individuals allegedly raised anti-India slogans, on the basis of which, the police filed a sedition case against the then JNUSU president, Kanhaiya Kumar. Apart from Kumar, sedition cases were also filed against Anirban Bhattacharya and Umer Khalid.
After being released from jail, Kanhaiya delivered a speech late at night which was attended by thousands, launching his political career. 
Shortly after, BJP leader Gyan Dev Ahuja, alleged that the university was in fact a sex den and 50% of the rapes and molestation of women in Delhi were committed by students of JNU. He added further that 3,000 condoms and 2,000 bottles of liquor could be found each day in the campus. The university is 8,000 students strong as of 2022. 
That wasn't the only time JNU and condoms were used in the same sentence. In 2005, JNU got its first condom vending machine. Many Delhiits and students residing in Delhi used to make trips to the campus to "just look" at the machines. 
In November 2020, the JNU admin filed a case against unknown individuals for vandalising the not yet unveiled statue of Vivekananda. 
And earlier that year, before Covid was a perceptible threat, in January, around a hundred masked 'intruders' entered the university and beat up students. JNUSU president Aishi Ghosh was injured in the attack. No action against the perpetrators has been taken yet.

ABVP&nbsp;students protested against the event, and clashes ensued. A group of individuals allegedly raised anti-India slogans, on the basis of which, the police filed a sedition case against the then&nbsp;JNUSU&nbsp;president, Kanhaiya&nbsp;Kumar. Apart from Kumar, sedition cases were also filed against Anirban&nbsp;Bhattacharya&nbsp;and Umar&nbsp;Khalid.
After being released from jail, Kanhaiya&nbsp;delivered a speech late at night which was attended by thousands, launching his political career.&nbsp;
Shortly after, BJP&nbsp;leader Gyan&nbsp;Dev Ahuja, alleged that the university was in fact a sex den and 50% of the rapes and molestation of women in Delhi were committed by students of JNU. He added further that 3,000 condoms and 2,000 bottles of liquor could be found each day in the campus. The university is 8,000 students strong as of 2022.&nbsp;
That wasn't the only time&nbsp;JNU&nbsp;and condoms were used in the same sentence. In 2005, JNU&nbsp;got its first condom vending machine. Many Delhiites&nbsp;and students residing in Delhi used to make trips to the campus to "just look" at the machines.&nbsp;
In November 2020, the JNU&nbsp;admin filed a case against unknown individuals for vandalising the not yet unveiled statue of Vivekananda.&nbsp;
And earlier that year, before Covid was a perceptible threat, in January, around a hundred masked 'intruders' entered the university and beat up students. JNUSU&nbsp;president Aishe&nbsp;Ghosh was injured in the attack. No action against the perpetrators has been taken yet.&nbsp;
