&lsquo;Bigg Boss 16&rsquo; contestant Abdu Rozik recently revealed that Salman Khan congratulated him on his engagement. Last week, Abdu announced that he plans to marry his fianc&eacute;e, Amira, in July.&nbsp;
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Abdu mentioned that Salman called to congratulate him after the news went viral. He shared that 'Bhai' gave him his blessings and is likely to attend the wedding in Dubai.
&lsquo;My engagement was a surprise to everyone. I chose not to tell anyone before the engagement on April 24. I feel grateful my family and team helped me keep this private,&rsquo; Abdu said. He added, &lsquo;But as soon as Salman Bhai heard the news, he called to congratulate me. He gave me his blessings and it means a lot to me. I look forward to having my bada bhaijaan (elder brother) at my wedding. My friends from Bigg Boss too like Shiv Thakare, were surprised but happy for me.&rsquo;
Earlier in May, Abdu Rozik surprised everyone by announcing on Instagram that he would be getting married on July 7, 2024. The singer later revealed that his fianc&eacute;e's name is Amira, and they first met at an eatery in Dubai, where they fell in love. &lsquo;She is pretty, has long hair, and beautiful eyes. I introduced myself, and we exchanged numbers. We've known each other for the last four months. She is studying business administration in Sharjah,&rsquo; he told Bombay Times.
Recently, Abdu penned a long note addressing the &lsquo;nasty&rsquo; comments from trolls mocking his engagement. He argued that they were ridiculing his decision to marry solely because of his small stature.
&lsquo;Thank you to everyone who has congratulated me and wished us well but from happy news I also have to talk about something bad that&rsquo;s happening. I want to say the negative comments and those who are making fun of me and being nasty is very sad. Imagine Amira and her family are reading these comments,&rsquo; Abdu wrote.
The Tajikistani singer expressed that his wedding announcement has turned into a &lsquo;nightmare.&rsquo; He said, &lsquo;We went public after much discussion and reluctance, and unfortunately, it is turning from the best news to a nightmare. People who are deaf, blind, or have no arms or legs get married, but because I'm small, you make fun of me. My health is good, allhamdulillah, and I deserve to be happy too.&rsquo;&nbsp;
Abdu urged everyone to be kind, saying, &lsquo;We need to learn to love and be kind first, then educate others.&rsquo;

Rozik's lawyer stated that they had furnished the required documents and were cooperating fully with the investigation.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Tajikistani musician Abdu Rozik, a contestant on &lsquo;Bigg Boss&rsquo; season 16, for approximately three hours on February 27. This interrogation is part of the agency's money-laundering investigation into the alleged drug syndicate involving Aliasgar Shirazi and others. Rozik provided his statement as a witness in the case after arriving in Mumbai from Dubai.
According to India Today, his lawyer stated, &lsquo;My client, Mr Abdu Rozik was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in the capacity of a prosecution witness against one Mr Kunal Oza. As his duty towards the law enforcement agencies in our country, Mr. Abdu Rozik has travelled all the way from Dubai to depose his statement under section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.&rsquo;
The lawyer stated that they had furnished the required documents and were cooperating fully with the investigation. He further affirmed their commitment to continued cooperation whenever necessary.
About Shirazi
Shirazi, suspected of narcotics trafficking, was apprehended on January 5 by the ED in connection with its money laundering investigation linked to the Mumbai police's seizure of synthetic narcotic Ketamine worth approximately ₹7.87 crore in March last year. He is presently in judicial custody.
Rozik attracted the attention of the ED due to his purported affiliation with a hospitality management and consultancy firm, currently under scrutiny for suspected connections with Shirazi.
Sources indicate that the hospitality firm purportedly approached Rozik early last year with an offer to appoint him as a brand ambassador for various upcoming restaurants/hotels linked to the firm. Ultimately, Rozik accepted the offer to become the brand ambassador of an upcoming fast-food outlet in the city. He reportedly attended the inauguration ceremony for this establishment in mid-2023.
Rozik reportedly informed the ED that the hospitality firm allegedly did not compensate him for the brand ambassadorship. Instead, he claimed he was promised a share of profits once the fast-food joint became profitable, which never materialized. Moreover, he stated that he never met Shirazi. Shirazi stands accused of involvement in a drug trafficking syndicate responsible for distributing illegal synthetic drugs across multiple countries. Allegedly, this syndicate, led by Shirazi and others, is under ED's investigation for facilitating the illicit supply of psychotropic substances to US-based customers purchasing opioids online. The ED is scrutinizing transactions involving four individuals linked to these activities.

'Bigg Boss 16' contestant, Tajikistani singer Abdu Rozik, who has been making headlines ever since his stint on the reality show, has shared a video of him jamming with superstar Salman Khan on social media. Sharing the video, he wrote, 'O oh jane jana! Bhaijaan and Chota Bhaijaa,' along with heart emojis.
In the video, the duo can be seen singing and dancing to Salman's all-time favourite song from the film, 'Pyaar Kiya Toh Darrna Kya'. In another clip shared by Abdu, the 'Dabangg' actor can be seen carrying him in his arms.
The video is being widely shared on the internet and fans have filled the comment section with red heart and fire emojis.
Abdu Rozik exited the Salman Khan-hosted reality show in between for his other professional commitments. There are reports that he might be participating in the upcoming season of 'Bigg Boss UK'.
