The former India cricketer, who once played for KKR in the IPL, questioned Starc being paid more money than several top Indian cricketers.
Aakash Chopra took to his YouTube channel and said, 'Mitchell Starc - 24.75 crore rupees. Pat Cummins - 20.50 crore rupees. Jasprit Bumrah is 12 crores, MS Dhoni is also 12 crores, Virat Kohli - 17 (15) crores, and Rohit Sharma is also 16 crores. Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Sam Curran, Cameron Green - all of them are more expensive than them. Is this what is called kalyug?'
'Who is the No. 1 T20 bowler in the world at the moment? Who is the No. 1 bowler of this IPL? That player's name is Jasrpit Bumrah, and Bumrah gets 12 and Starc gets close to 25. It is wrong. I don't grudge anybody's money. I will be the happiest if everyone gets as much money as they can get, but how is this right?', he added.
Chopra also pointed out that one of the reasons why KKR wanted to pick Starc at any cost was because of the new '2 bouncers per over' rule in IPL 2024. That has put 'more focus on fast bowlers,' he concluded.

With the talk around KL Rahul's place in the Indian side still raging on social media, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to voice his support for the under-fire Indian opener.
Asking netizens to leave KL Rahul alone, Harbhajan stated that Rahul hasn't committed any crime, he is still a top player and that all players go through such patches in international cricket.&nbsp;
The former Indian off-spinner further asked people to respect Rahul and have faith.

After Aakash Chopra implied that Venkatesh Prasad has an agenda against KL Rahul, the former Indian pacer hit back at Chopra.
Chopra, on his Youtube channel, had stated that Prasad was only using subjective stats of other players, ones that painted Rahul in a bad light in comparison.
Prasad responded to the former Indian opener's remarks on Twitter, calling his video vile. The 53-year-old pacer stated that Chopra conveniently and cleverly misquotes him, and wants to gag views that are not in line with what he believes.
Sharing a Twitter screenshot from 2012 where Chopra seems to be taking a dig at current captain Rohit Sharma, Prasad said 'the argument that we should not criticise a player in an ongoing match personally doesn&rsquo;t make sense.'
Prasad also said that while he 'admires Aakash Chopra for his hardwork, calling a different viewpoint as agenda because it doesn&rsquo;t suit his narrative is poor.'
