Last Presidential debate: commission adopts rule to mute mics

As Donald Trump and Joe Biden face off on Thursday for a final televised debate, each candidate will have their microphones cut off while the other is delivering responses to questions, under a new rule adopted by the debate commission, after the debacle during the first debate on September 30. The 90-minute debate is divided into six 15-minute segments, with each candidate granted two minutes to deliver uninterrupted remarks before proceeding to an open debate. The Commission on Presidential Debates on Monday said that the only candidate whose microphone will be open during these 2-minute periods is the candidate who has the floor, both mics will be unmuted for open discussion. Any interruptions by the other candidate will count toward their time.

US Polls: Stage is set for the first Trump-Biden debate at Ohio

US President Donald Trump and his challenger Democratic nominee Joe Biden, are all set to face each other for&nbsp;first of the three scheduled Presidential debates on Tuesday, with five weeks to go for the November 3 polls.
The 90-minute televised debate will be held at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The debate will be moderated by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace.
While Trump has decided to skip any formal preparation, Biden&rsquo;s team believes that the significance of debate may be exaggerated.&nbsp;
Dubbed as the &lsquo;Super Bowl of American Democracy&rsquo;, Trump and Biden will be responding to questions on their track record, the Supreme Court, economy, race and violence in cities and integrity of the elections.
