In his speech, Modi was heard criticising the then prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh for not speaking on inflation. &nbsp;&nbsp; In a video posted by Yadav on his X, the 34-year-old was seen using a Bluetooth speaker and playing it over the mic while he was on stage. In the audio, Modi was heard saying, 'If inflation will continue rising in this manner, what will a poor person eat? But the prime minister is not ready to speak on this topic at all'.&nbsp;
In the caption, Yadav wrote, 'The public is now listening to and telling the Prime Minister the promises made in 10 years on speaker. So many lies have been told that it is now beyond comprehension. These people can say and do anything to divert the attention of the public. One should not lie so much while being in such a high position in public life. Say only what you can do'.&nbsp;&nbsp;
In his earlier rallies, Yadav criticised PM Modi multiple times for not speaking on rising inflation and unemployment in the country. &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;

Talking about his nomination, Ambedkari said that he is sure that this time also he will be defeated in both seats.

He first contested in state elections in 1985, but after 98 electoral defeats 78-year-old Hasnuram Ambedkari 'Dharti Pakad' is still as eager to file his nomination in this Lok Sabha polls.
"This time also I am sure that I will be defeated on both seats. But, my aim is to contest for the 100th time, and after that, I will not contest any election," says Ambedakri, who earns his living as MNREGA worker.
Ambedkari, who hails from Kheragarh tehsil of Agra district, fought his first election as an Independent in March 1985 against the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) candidate from Kheragarh constituency of Agra district.
On Friday, he again had the nomination papers in his hands and said he would file them for the Agra reserved seat and Fatehpur Sikri seat.
"I have fought elections since 1985 for Gram Pradhan, state assembly, gram panchayat, MLA, MLC, and Lok Sabha. I also filed my candidature for the post of President of India but that was rejected..,," he said.
His journey of consistently contesting elections as an Independent and losing has even got him the Hindi sobriquet of 'Dharti Pakad' given to such candidates after the famous Kaka Joginder Singh 'Dharti Pakad', who had unsuccessfully contested over 300 elections - even the presidential polls.
On what prompted him to contest successive elections, he told PTI, "I left my job for the post of 'Amin' in the Agra tehsil at the end of the year 1984 as I was promised a ticket by the BSP a ticket to contest from the Kheragarh seat.
"But I was later refused the ticket by the then convener of the party in the region and he mocked me 'tumhe tumhari biwi vote nahi degi, toh koi or kya tumhe vote dega' (Even your wife will not vote for you, then why would others)." To avenge the humiliation, Ambedkari said, he contested the seat and got third place in the election result. "I made my plan to contest more elections to prove that I can also get votes from people," he said.
Ambedkari shared that he is a follower of Dalit icon Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and actively associated with the Backward and Minority Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF) from the year 1977 till 1985.
"On Monday, I will file nominations for both the seats and after completing the nomination procedure will visit people to seek votes," said Ambedkari.
He said his wife Shiva Devi (70) and sons support his "dream of contesting elections" and support him financially to file nominations for the election.
"I go personally to meet my supporters and request them to vote for me in the election. I also send handwritten postcards of appeal to vote for me to those whom I am not able to contact physically," he said.
"I have five sons and all are working as labourers and are married. My daughters-in-law, grandchildren and daughters all support me in the campaign," he said Voting in Agra and Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seats will be on May 7 in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections. The filing of nominations began on April 12 and would continue till April 19.&nbsp;

Her declaration that she will go solo for the 2024 general elections came as no surprise as the BSP, by Mayawati's own admission, hasn't fared well whenever it announced pre-poll ties with other parties. She said that allying hasn't benefitted her party as the allies' voter base, especially the upper caste, doesn't get transferred to the BSP.&nbsp;
The BSP has traditionally relied on Dalits, Muslims, and OBC votes. But as pollsters have shown, the BJP has managed to make inroads into Dalit and OBC communities, the SP gained a larger chunk of Muslim votes.&nbsp;
In the 2022 assembly elections, the BSP could win only one seat, securing 12.7 per cent of the votes in a state where Dalits account for 20 per cent of all voters and half of the Dalit voters belong to Mayawati&rsquo;s Jatav caste, CSDS data showed.
CSDS data showed that among non-Jatav Dalits, 41 per cent chose BJP, 23 per cent SP and 27 per cent BSP.
Its alliance partner Samajwadi Party gained at the cost of the BSP by securing 32.06% with 111 Vidhan Sabha seats.&nbsp;
Out of the 20 per cent Muslim votes in UP, the Samajwadi Party secured around 79 per cent and at least eight per cent votes went to the BJP, which is an increase of one per cent over the 2017 assembly elections.

Battle for 2024: AAP wants to go solo in Punjab, leave 3 seats for Congress in Delhi

At a meeting of the INDIA bloc, the leaders of 28 opposition parties agreed to finalise the seat-sharing arrangements for the Lok Sabha polls by mid-January to jointly take on the BJP.

&nbsp;Keen to cash in on its electoral success, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) wants to go it alone in Punjab for next year's Lok Sabha polls and not have an alliance with the Congress, its coalition partner in the INDIA opposition bloc.
The AAP stormed to power in Punjab with a landslide victory in the state polls, bagging 92 seats in the 117-member Assembly and trouncing the Congress that managed to win 18 seats.
Sources in the opposition camp said the Congress too is keen to contest the Lok Sabha polls in Punjab without any alliance with the AAP as it hopes to unseat Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2024. Punjab has 13 Lok Sabha seats.
In Delhi, where the AAP won a third term in office in 2020, winning 62 seats in the 70-member Assembly, party supremo Arvind Kejriwal is ready for an alliance with the Congress.
The sources said the AAP is ready to leave three of the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital for the Congress.
The opposition camp believes that the Congress and the AAP have better chances of winning a majority of the Lok Sabha seats in the national capital as a team, instead of going it alone and making it a triangular contest.
The BJP won all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi in the 2014 and 2019 general elections. In 2019, the combined votes of the Congress and AAP were much less than the BJP candidates.
The discussion on seat sharing in Punjab and Delhi is expected to take place after December 30, when Kejriwal returns from a Vipassana course.
In November, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had expressed confidence that the AAP will win all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
Kejriwal was also present on the occasion.
"I am not talking about paid surveys. I talk to people in villages and cities -- shopkeepers, labourers and traders.... I am saying that the result in the Lok Sabha polls will be 13-0 in favour of the AAP," Mann had said.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge hoped that the "problem" of Delhi and Punjab will be solved eventually.
West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab and Delhi continue to be sticking points among the constituents of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) as none of the stakeholders is ready to give in, the sources said.
In Punjab, the Congress won eight of the 13 Lok Sabha seats in 2019 while the AAP managed to win just one and the SAD-BJP alliance four. In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the AAP won four seats, the Congress two, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) four and the BJP two.&nbsp;

The Congress asserted that Opposition unity would be "a game changer" for the Indian political scenario and took a swipe at the BJP, saying those who used to talk of defeating the opposition parties alone are now making attempts to breathe new life into the NDA which had become a "ghost".
The Opposition meeting coincides with the NDA meeting convened on July 18 in Delhi, where some new allies are likely to join the ruling BJP-led coalition.

Kharge said that the second meeting of the opposition bloc was a very important one for saving democracy and the Constitution in the interest of the country's people.
"We have come together and discussed various points. With one voice, people supported the resolution adopted today," he said.

According to multiple sources, the name was suggested by TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and there was a lot of discussion on the full form of the term, INDIA.
The Congress president said an 11-member coordination committee will be set up and its composition will be finalised in the next meeting in Mumbai. The dates for the Mumbai meeting will be announced soon, he added.
Kharge said a common secretariat will also be set up in Delhi for campaign management and specific committees will be formed for separate issues.
He also launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he is now trying to bring together parties that had splintered and this shows that "he is afraid of opposition parties".
"There are some differences between us but we have put that behind... We are together in the interest of the country," Kharge said. "We'll fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections unitedly and succeed," he said.
In her remarks at the presser, Banerjee, while acknowledging all leaders present, referred to Rahul Gandhi as "our favourite".
Referring to the name of the alliance adopted, Banerjee said, "BJP, can you challenge INDIA? We love our motherland, we are the patriotic people of the country, we are for farmers, Dalits, we are for the country, for the world." The only job the regime at the Centre does today is to buy and sell governments, she alleged.
"INDIA will win, our country will win and BJP will lose," Banerjee said.

A letter of Kejriwal inviting the chief ministers of seven states ruled by non-BJP parties other than the Congress for a dinner on March 18 had gone viral, triggering speculation about the formation of an alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
The planned dinner of the eight leaders, including Kejriwal, which he described as the "Progressive Chief Ministers'' Group of India or G-8", was supposed to be followed by a press conference the next day, according to the letter written by the AAP supremo.
During a post Delhi Budget press conference, Kejriwal was asked about it and he said: "It is a governance platform and not for alliance for 2024 Lok Sabha polls. It is not a political platform. Eight of us will visit a state out of the eight to see the good work being done by them and to learn from each other." "There have been several rounds of discussion between officers and among us. I am violating the protocols by sharing details. There are plans to hold a joint press conference to announce the platform. It is a work in progress," he said.
The chief ministers were busy with the assembly sessions in their states and "it should be announced after mid-April", Kejriwal said.
The letter was sent to chief ministers of West Bengal, Bihar, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Punjab.&nbsp;

In the run-up to the 2024 parliamentary elections, the BJP's minority morcha on Wednesday launched a year-long Muslim outreach programme -- "Sufi Samvad" -- with a special focus on the Muslim-dominated districts in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala and Telangana.
A team of 150 people linked to Sufism has been formed for the campaign which will culminate with a large meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party's minority morcha head Jamal Siddiqui said.
The initiative comes months after Prime Minister Modi suggested that party workers should reach out to Sufis, Bohras and Pasmandas among the Muslim community in the country.
"On the directions of Prime Minister Modi to reach out to the Sufis who are advocates of peace and harmony, this initiative has been taken," Siddiqui told reporters here.
At the launch of the campaign on Wednesday, people working in Sufi dargahs across 30 states and Union territories gathered at the BJP headquarters to firm up various events under the campaign.
Media coordinator for the programme Yasir Jilani said the fact is that the Modi government has worked for all, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, and the objective is to reach out to the Muslim community and spread this message.
Majority of the events under this initiative will be held in the Muslim-majority districts and where there is a substantial population of Muslims.
A special focus will be laid on Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Kerala, Bihar and Telangana, which cumulatively send 199 members to Lok Sabha.&nbsp;
