Temperatures in the deepest parts of the oceans are rising faster than previously thought, according to a new research by the&nbsp;US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Between 2009 and 2019, at four different depths in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Uruguay, temperatures warmed by 0.02-0.04C.&nbsp;Given how large the ocean is, and how untouched these areas are by humans or fossil fuel, this is a significant amount of heat.
More research is needed to confirm the reason behind this warming trend&nbsp;

He had also courted controversy with his 'aukaat' remark on Rhea Chakraborty.

Patna, PTI: Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey on Tuesday took voluntary retirement from service, triggering speculations that the outspoken officer would contest the coming state Assembly polls.
Pandey's request seeking voluntary retirement was approved by Governor Phagu Chauhan, a notification issued by the state home department said.
Director General (Homeguards) SK Singhal has been given additional charge of DGP, ADG (Headquarters) Jitendra Kumar told PTI.&nbsp;
Pandey, a 1987 batch IPS officer, was involved in the investigation of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide in Mumbai.
He had recently been in the headlines for his stout defence of the Nitish Kumar administration when it was under attack from the Shiv Sena-led government in Maharashtra over Bihar Police's probe into the death of Rajput.&nbsp;
He had also courted controversy with his 'aukaat' remark on Rhea Chakraborty.
Bihar Assembly election is likely to be held in October-November.
Pandey had taken premature retirement to contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2009, but later the state government did not accept his VRS application and reinstated him in the service.

Bidding for the lamb, named Double Diamond, started at just 10,000 pounds but escalation of the bidding war&nbsp;at the Scottish National Texel Sale shot up the price, breaking the previous record of&nbsp;&pound;230,000 set in 2009.&nbsp;
The heavily muscled sheep is native to the island of Texel in the Netherlands.
According to the Guardian, the buyers, who hope to recoup their investment through breeding, said the 'outstanding animal'&nbsp;was backed up by all the 'best genetics.'
