Disney Star retains ICC broadcast and digital rights through to 2027

Disney Star has bagged the global cricket rights once again for the next 4-year cycle.

The International Cricket Council has confirmed that Disney Star has won the TV and digital rights for both men's and women's global events till 2027.

According to sources, Disney Star won the rights with a bid of $3 billion but the ICC is yet to disclose the winning value.

While there were other solid contenders in the form of Viacom 18, Sony Sports and Zee Network, Star's bid was reportedly much higher than all of them.
