Asia Cup 2022: Rahul Dravid joins Team India in UAE ahead of IND vs PAK clash, but what about VVS Laxman?

Rahul Dravid has tested negative for Covid-19 and has joined Team India in the UAE ahead of their Asia Cup 2022 clash against arch-rivals Pakistan.

He landed in Dubai on August 27 and was present in the practice session as well. Dravid had tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the team departure and was hence kept in supervision of the BCCI medical team and had mild symptoms.

The Indian board had then named VVS Laxman as the interim coach and he had even travelled to the UAE. According to a report in Sports Today, he is expected to be in the dugout for the game against Pakistan but may head back after that.

Team India is placed in Group A alongside Pakistan and Hong Kong in Asia Cup 2022.
