'There is no case for a lockdown in Mumbai' says the BMC Chief

Mumbai will not face another lockdown that's the word coming from BMC Chief, Iqbal Singh Chahal. The commissioner to of civic body speaking to Bloomberg News said no lockdown and no further restrictions are planned even if cases were to rise.

Citing low hospitalisation rates and the high percentage of asymptomatic patients, Chahal said there was no case for a lockdown in Mumbai. 

Mumbai recorded the highest single-day record of 20,181 new Covid cases and four death on Thursday and positivity rate was recorded to be 29.9 per cent. However as per data released 85% of those testing positive were asymptomatic.
