The fresh offensive from grapplers Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik hasn’t gone down well with the Sports Ministry, given three of the five member picks of the oversight committee were based on wrestlers' suggestions.

According to a Times of India report, Ministry sources claim that during the first round of discussions with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, wrestlers themselves suggested the names of Mary Kom, SAI's former executive director (teams) Radhica Sreeman and ex-TOPS CEO Rajesh Rajagopalan.

The report further states that the wrestlers weren't happy with the choice of London Olympics Bronze medallist Yogeshwar Dutt, who is also part of the five-member Oversight Committee.
